Went to Docs for a meal tonight for my mum's 80th Birthday had a bit of a wait as it was really busy...staff did a great job of getting everyone's meals out at the same time and there were 18 of us and the food was fab as usual

User

Party of 19 for a meal on Xmas Eve.

Pre-order was lost but the staff were happy to come and take the order again. Had a long wait for the starters but they brought out extra food for those not having starters. Staff were over loads checking we were ok. Food portions were really generous, all the food tasted great. Staff were helpful and friendly all night.

User

Our friends recommended we try the curries here and they where absolutely fantastic and great value for money, friendly and quick service. Would definitely recommend to anyone and have done. Been back for a normal pub lunch which was also fantastic x will definitely be back x

User

Just been to docs for breakfast one of the best breakfast I’ve had in a while. Serves was fab. Will be back next week.

User

Impromptu tea out, probably one of the busiest Fridays of the year, but despite not having booked, we were squeezed in. We love our Indian food so ordered off the Indian menu and wow, we were served within 20’mins of ordering, with plates piled high and a massive naan bread! The food was great, ranks on a par with bespoke Indian restaurants! Staff were attentive and cheery! Well done!

User

Had a table booked last night, was recommended to have the chicken biryani with tikka sauce by a friend which we ordered. Absolutely brilliant, so tasty, also got pashwari nan which was lovely. Service was great. Portions were huge so I took the rest home haha Will definitely be back :)

User

Brilliant. Food (especially Indian) is superb and very reasonably priced. Also within walking distance of our home so no need to take car or taxi and can enjoy a few drinks with meal. Would highly recommend

User

Brilliant food and service from start to finish, not a long wait either! As we were leaving my 20 month old son was yelling “ice cream num num thank you” so even he thought the food was great too

User

Been to docs on many occasions never disappointed , There again on Friday ,table for 5 ,5 different choices of food and each and everyone of them was delicious ...that good and that much on my mum's plate she took some home !...all the other plates were cleared . Atmosphere was great ,music in the background ,not too loud .Staff always attentive to our table even though the place was very busy .At least 3 visits to our table to ask if we were enjoying our meal ,we just shook our heads as we were stuffing our faces .Booked again for Saturday ...recommend the fish !soooo tasty .

User

Went for tea on Tue and must say it was very nice. It was busy for a tue and had to wait 40mins but the staff handled it perfectly. Went for the Indian menu as heard food was excellent... had biryani wife had garlic tikka masala, food was piping hot and very nice. Only negative point was my chicken was a bit dry... there was loads left so wife took hers home in a carton.. enjoyed food so much we've booked a table in November for the family 20+ and can't wait....well done every one

My partner and I went Wednesday 23/8/17, I ordered my usual, lamb korma with half rice half chips 👍🏽 To be told they don't do that anymore, as of this week 🙁 Wait for it ........ cause everyone's asking for that (half rice half chips) 🤔 Helloooooo🤷‍♀️Surely if everyone's asking for it , it's popular so WHY stop it? anyway I had to order both rice and chips and was charged for both , which of course was far too much so half the rice and chips were wasted 🙁Maybe it's just me but not very business like in my opinion, anyway when it arrived it was gorgeous as usual best in the town , so come on Docs surely it's a no brainer if you wanna keep your reg customers

User

Just back from a meal, there was twelve of us, we waited over an hour for our food, we had to keep going up and asking how much longer we would have to wait and kept getting told it was on its way, we had a young child with us so we had to ask for her meal, when meals finally appeared mine was wrong, we were all paying separately but the girl said to put it all through together so they would arrive at same time, when the guy was serving our meala we asked why people that ordered after us had been served he said there meals went through before ours on the other till, meal was good but a few of us had to take half of ours home as we had went of the mood of it.

User

Went for meal with my family...what i ordered was not very warm. My son had lasagna which was acctually just mince with cheese on top no pasta sheets. My partners meal was also not very warm and my other son had fish and chips which he said he enjoyed. So all in all pretty poor.

User

Was there for lunch today worst food I have had in any restaurant started with chilli nachos the chilli was dry and mushy like it was made last week and the sour cream sauce was like water for the main I had scampi and chips the chips was under cooked and looked like rubber the scampi was watery and mushy my wife had a burger which was dry tasted awful like a rustler burger from Tesco walked out with eating nothing wont be back also the girls toilet had no toilet paper and the lights not working and no soap

User

Was "supposed" to be a Christmas Party night, we were put in a cold side room with absolutely no atmosphere. The entertainment was a karaoke guy, nothing Christmassy about it. The food was an Indian buffet which consisted of a choice of 2 starters (no idea what they were as nothing was labelled), a choice of 2 chicken curry's (again nothing labelled). There was no veggie option despite this being asked for at the time of the booking. There was no manager onsite on the night so none of our concerns could be addressed at the time. Hugely disappointing. The upside was the bar next door was full of atmosphere and our group ended up having a great night in there. Would not recommend this for a party night
