One of our drivers has found this Huawei phone in their Taxi, if you have lost or know someone who has lost their mobile phone recently please get in touch. The phone will only be released to the owner if they know the security number.
Please share this as widely as possible so we can reunite the phone with its owner.

Scottish Borders Council has just updated us that Channel Street Taxi rank will be moving from one side to the other, and will be in full operation from 17:00 on Sunday 26th January 2020. Channel Street will be closed that morning from 08:00 until 17:00 for the new signs and markings to be put in place.
Dod's Taxis work 7 days a week. As well as taking calls and bookings on that day, there will be a temporary extension to Stirling ...street Taxi Rank.

Just a small reminder for all of those people who consider not paying for your taxi fare. (Including those who have done it already)
Theft Act 1978, Section 3.
1)Subject to subsection (3) below, a person who, knowing that payment on the spot for any goods supplied or service done is required or expected from him, dishonestly makes off without having paid as required or expected and with intent to avoid payment of the amount due shall be guilty of an offence.... (2)For purposes of this section “payment on the spot” includes payment at the time of collecting goods on which work has been done or in respect of which service has been provided.
4 Punishments. (1)Offences under this Act shall be punishable either on conviction on indictment or on summary conviction. (2)A person convicted on indictment shall be liable— F4(a). . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . (b)for an offence under section 3 of this Act, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years. (3)A person convicted summarily of any offence under this Act shall be liable— (a)to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months; or (b)to a fine not exceeding the prescribed sum for the purposes of [F5section 32 of the Magistrates’ Courts Act 1980] (punishment on summary conviction of offences triable either way: £1,000 or other sum substituted by order under that Act),or to both.

Hi folks, I have found a mobile phone in the back of my Taxi when I finished. If you possibly know who it may belong to or know of anyone that has lost their phone please get in touch, if you/they can unlock it then I will hand it over. I will keep a hold of it for 72hours, if it is not claimed before that then I will hand it into Galashiels police station.
