Dominion Cinema Edinburgh

The best cinema I have ever been too, and I've been to a lot! So comfortable, very friendly and polite staff. The cinema itself makes you feel like at home with the leather sofa's and a lot of leg room too. The whole design and atmosphere feels like being in the 1920's with the layout. This it only the cinema I go to now.

Oldest and only family owned cinema in Edinburgh. One of the best film viewing experiences you can get. Offer first class seating and table service for the same price as you'd pay in a multiplex. Staff always very friendly and helpful.

Love the first class showings! Such comfy seats, great atmosphere, food brought to your seat. The only way to properly enjoy the Cinema!

Loved this cinema. Spacious, good screen, superb seating and great ambience. Who'd have thought it...leather sofas in the picture house! Only down sides were the horribly cheesy self-advertisement and the limited refreshments selection but I still thought it warranted 5 stars.

I think this is the best cinema I've ever been to. Comfy seating, great bar, friendly relaxed atmosphere, efficient staff and a good mix of arty and blockbuster-type films to keep everyone happy. You might even meet the manager in his DJ as he greets arriving patrons. Real old-school place, how it ought to be done.

Love this cinema! The first class experience is lovely: electric reclining seats are super comfy and there is a pre-show service where waiters will take your order for food and drinks at your seats before the film starts.

A really unique cinema, that stands out for its individual very comfortable seats, great atmosphere, and complimentary Pringles on the door.
The only letdown is that the screens are a bit small, and the small room can definitely feel a bit cramped and crowded on a popular night.
Regardless, this is a comfortable and enjoyable experience that is a welcome change from the cinemas we're used to.

Once you've been to the Dominion you will never want to go to another cinema in Edinburgh. This place is family owned and you feel it the minute you walk in the door. Such a special experience compared to other cinema chains that you see everywhere else. Can't wait to go back.

Tried the First class experience on Friday, it was wonderful! Super comfy sofa's, snack menu and cocktails... yes cocktails served at your seat. I don't think i can ever go back to generic dull soul less cinema's after this experience of opulent Art Deco interior, great screen and sounds and not least spotless service delivered by polite, attentive, staff.

Incredibly cozy and comfortable movie theatre. You seat in magnificent sofas with an ottoman for your feet. Amazing. Super incredibly nice atmosphere. Looks like an old movie theatre for the charm... But it's incredibly more comfortable. Obviously, in that dimension it is by far the best movie theatre in Edinburgh, perhaps in the UK.

Went on 3rd night of new first class service which consists of electric recliners for 1 or 2, table service, good beers and wines and hot food (50%off at mo), free snacks. Couldn't recommend highly enough. Arrive an hour early and relax add watch the trailers. Staff were brilliant. Oh and it's only £12.50, the same as going to vue.Best way to watch a film in town. Or anywhere.
