Doteki Karate Club Description

Doteki Karate Club was started at the beginning of January 2017. It is run by the Chief Instructor David McAulay and assisted by Chloe McAulay. The club is the only one in the East of Scotland to be affiliated to KWF Scoltand and Karatenomichi World Federation. Through this affiliation we are also linked to the SKGB.

Through this affiliation we are able to send our students to competitions, seminars (Local, National and International) and train with top karate instructors from all over the world.

We encourage families to train and practice together, we believe that our club is a place where mums , dads and kids can benefit from exercising and building confidence together.

Our classes range from the very young to the young at heart, there is no age limit to practice karate. Our kids classes start at 4 years old, this class promotes fitness and life skills to our youngest members. We prepare these future black belts for life in the junior class where the skill and discipline they have been taught allows them to join the main classes with confidence.

The main class develops the students from complete beginner to Brown belt level. These classes are very popular with young and old alike. All classes have one common thread FUN, FITNESS and CONFIDENCE.

We have 2 venues now. on a Monday evening we are based at Simpsons Primary School and Southdale Primary School on a Wednesday evening.
