We have been coming to this lovely hotel every Easter & October for the last few years and always have a fantastic break.

Sadly, we had to cut this years trip short after only 1 night due to our 5 year old breaking her collar bone when out a walk this morning.

The staff were amazing and very understanding. Not only did they only charge us 1 night when we checked out at 6pm on day 2, they gave us cookies for the journey home, to cheer us all up. Too many hotels these days would easily have charged us for the remaining nights.

Thanks so much for the exceptional way you dealt with this very unfortunate situation.

We cant wait to come back in a few weeks, when the little one is better ļæ½ļæ½

We arrived for an anniversary night away around 4pm. Check in was quite busy but when we got to the desk we had been upgraded to a deluxe family room! It was a lovely gesture and the added touch of a balloon was very thoughtful. We ate in the cocktail lounge. Disappointed that they had run out of fish but we had the steak ciabatta which was fantastic. Chocolate orange cheesecake to follow was to die for. Staff were very attentive throughout the evening and cocktails were amazing! Breakfast in the morning was superb! Maybe extra coffee machines would help as there was quite a queue for hot beverages. Checkout was easy and again reception staff were attentive. My only complaint there was no sky sports to watch the football. Defintely would head back again, been many times and always happy with our stay!!

User

Perfect place for a break! We were so warm welcomed by the Reception ( thank You) and provided with all the information about the place. Beautiful and extremely tidy room. Great selection of spirit/ cocktails in the bar with comfable lounge . Delicious food, definitely was worth to book a table - again excellent service! Morning breakfast was just a cherry on the cake! Was lovely to see the Chef in the dining area -while he was checking on his Guests. Many thanks for making our weekend special! Definitely will be back!

User

Just back from a one night stay. Beautiful hotel. Clean and airy. Staff very good and helpful. Food excellent especially breakfast. Best scrambled egg ever. The grounds are well kept and lovely views. The room was fabulous. We had a junior suite and it was lovely. The bed very comfy. Definitely go back and recommend it.

User

Just back from a lovely 2 night stay with my husband and 2 sons. The hotel is stunning, set in nice grounds with an impressive entrance. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable, all you need. Nice touches with dressing gowns, toiletries etc. We enjoyed the Spa, nice sized pool and really good Sauna and steam room. We ate dinner both nights in the Nick Nairn restaurant and had no complaints at all, food and service were both very good. The cocktail bar is lovely, good selection of cocktails and gins and Mel looked after us well. Last but not least, the breakfast, one of the best hotel breakfasts weā€™ve had. Huge selection and all fresh cooked and clean areas around the buffet. Overall lovely break and we will definitely be back ļæ½

Had our wedding here on 17th March 2018. Morag was great all the way through with helping us to plan our perfect wedding day. Nicola was absolutely amazing on the actual day and kept things running smoothly, can't big her up enough she was a big reason as to why our day ended up so perfect. All staff we had contact with were super polite and helpful. Don't actually have a bad word to say and we've only had positive comments from all of our guests. Great venue for a wedding!!

User

From the minute we walked in the door to leaving this hotel was exceptional. The staff are all dressed perfect and very friendly. Food was excellent. Natalie and her staff treated us very well. They took time to speak to our grandchildren and made them feel special.

The pool was lovely and not to busy, kids had a great time.

Things that were really special was a warm cookie biscuit on arrival and the chocolate strawberries in are room, well very yummy .

Best hotel I stayed in a very long time and we go lots of places.

Highly recommended to everyone.

User

Friendly staff on arrival to check in and we got our upgrade! Also got 2 yummy just baked cookies. Room was fantastic spacious with views out over Dunblane. Extremely comfy bed. Even had a sofa to sit on! Breakfast next day was good. Breakfast staff was very helpful as both me and my husband walk with a stick. Breakfast was nice except for potato scones which were soggy and greasy but other than that tasty and glad bacon was not fatty. Will defo be back to stay. Thanks ļæ½

User

Beautiful setting lovely rooms cocktail bar reasonable only 2 faults car parking and access to rear cp tricky huge bus nearly took me out and several cars parked on brae made it a miracle he made it and ladies toilets smelly dirty floor no hand towels and no obvious signs of checks and still not rectified by 8am pretty poor given all other areas well staffed

Won't put me off coming back tho

User

The staff make this place, extremely helpful and always smiling. Beds are extremely comfortable.

As others have said, some parts need refurbished. Buffet meals were typically lukewarm. Disappointed with room cleanliness, some shelfs hadn't seen a duster in a while and used food trays cluttered the corridors. There was also discrepancies between the bar price list and the amounts the staff were charging.

Good visit otherwise, but I expect better from a 4 star hotel

User

Lovely hotel x room was clean and a fair size for the price we paid. Dinner was nice maybe not as good as expected but might be down to my choices and I still polished off 3courses and received a lovely complimentary cocktail at the beginning of our meal ļæ½ breakfast was fantastic. Buffett style with everything you would want and well stocked. Staff were all helpful and friendly and enjoyed a few drinks in the cocktail bar. Oh and the complimentary cookie on arrival was so yummy ļæ½ nice touch xx

User

Food was wonderful, supplements on everything we wanted (but steak is always that way & the cheese & biscuits) drinks lovely Ā£8.00 - Ā£10.00 a cocktail. Breakfast was really great, such a selection, something for everyone.

Swimming pool was nice, not in main hotel but only seconds away on foot, could do with a little updating, but nice.

Room was a little tired but clean & bed extremely comfortable. Staff were super, very friendly & helpful. Would stay again.

User

Brilliant overnight stay. Room beautiful, food delicious and reasonable, staff friendly but still very professional and to top it of cocktails were scrumptious. Only one little complaint was that the public areas were quite cold, ie dining room, reception and bar but in saying that it would not put us of returning again.

User

Never been before, beautiful setting and impressive looking hotel. Were there for a function with an overnight stay in a Junior Family suite. Room was suitable for purpose, our double bed was very comfortable, our sons sofa bed less so, very thin springy mattress, we adapted it using the cushions from the sofa and a couple of spare pillows to make it a bit more comfortable. Bathroom could do with some rails to hang towels to dry, had to utilise the ironing board to hang them over. Agree with comments that the hotel looks tired in areas, cocktail bar - leather easy chairs, looked grubby and worn. Back and forward to our room evening and next morning a collection of dirty glasses left by an entrance doorway hadnā€™t been picked up, not a nice look. Function and meal that went with it were a great success and all staff we encountered were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was lovely, best scrambled eggs Iā€™ve ever tasted!

We were fortunate to have a discounted room, but not sure weā€™d have been happy paying much more then we did. Earlier check in would be good too.

User

First impressions were fantastic, a very grand building at the top of a long hilly drive way. Check in was quick and friendly and we were greeted with a warm chocolate cookie why??? Our room was in the Stirling quarter which was quite a walk from reception and based at the conference area of the hotel. The room itself was a good size and very clean, bathroom provided shower gel, shampoo and conditioner if required. The bed looked amazing, ice white bedding and very big but alas I kept rolling into the middle of the bed due to the poor mattress, husband didn't rate the bed either. We were offered a booking in the Nick Nairn restaurant but declined due to prices and poor reviews. We had a drink in the cocktail bar but decided not to eat there either as it appeared neglected and dirty. There were crisps lying on the floor, deep scratches on some of the tables and

flooring, the tables were wonky and had bits of paper/ napkins under them to stop them moving and the service was pretty slow considering it was very quiet. We decided to walk 5 minutes to the Indian at the roundabout, down the drive way and to your left, to Mr Singhs Indian restaurant which was recommended to us by some locals. We would highly recommend it, the food was fantastic. The buffet breakfast in the main dining room of the hotel was the best bit about our stay, plenty to chose from and cooked and presented well. Overall it was an ok stay and as it was a itison deal we can't complain too much but the hotel on the inside is looking very tired and worn and could do with a bit of tlc.

User

Depends what you pay. We had a 5pm offer for Ā£69B&B on a Friday night, for 2 of us and our 10yr old. Lovely setting, leisure pool, pleasant public areas, ample parking, tea&coffee facilities in room and a very good (but completely buffet) breakfast. A good deal for 3 of us.

The room was a standard double with a roll out bed- couldnā€™t move. The Stirling Wing is very tired. Threadbare carpets, lots of worn paintwork and a very damp smell in the lower corridor. Been in better Premier Inns! The room itself was fine but the bathroom was very basic. Not a 4* bathroom.

The leisure pool needs a good clean. Lots of discoloured grout etc.

Dinner in the Kailyard was nice, but they wanted to seat us in a conservatory type room which bears no resemblance to the Kailyard online photos. We said no to that and they arranged a table in the main restaurant.... so why not just do that straight off? The food was better than we expected. Our desserts (fondants) took much longer than the advertised 20 mins to arrive so they deducted them from the bill. We were Ā£100 for 3 courses each, kids 3 courses, nice bottle Sancere and coffees.

Would go back for Ā£69 offer but wouldnā€™t pay any more for a Stirling Wing room.

User

Where do l begin! We waiting 20 minutes to check in while receptionist was on the phone! Very disappointed in the room "Basic" to say the least! No face cloth, water, or fridge etc as you find in other 4* hotel! Breakfast was basic yet again ..... ie no fruit on the Sunday but on the Monday you got the left over strawberries etc from the cocktail lounge! Morning rolls were not fresh, no mushrooms expected pots of coffee on table and not a self service buffet! Bar staff very poor waited for 1 hour for our plates to be removed and also had received dirty glasses! ......... This hotel warrants 3* and certainly not 4* We have stayed in numerous "Hilton" Hotels around the world and this is by far the worse we have come across! We will not recommend this hotel and will not be back!

User

Quite disappointed with our overnight stay at Dunblane Hydro. Arrived yesterday to be told that the swimming pool was closed but were offered passes to hotel in Stirling 15 mins drive away. No thanks!

Offered a room in Stirling area of hotel. Hotel very tired looking. Room itself was clean enough but the bed sounded like a rickety old thing and creaked every time you moved. Not a wink of sleep and not for the reasons youā€™d expect having a romantic night away.

Food in restaurant was nice. Ordered a cocktail for Ā£9.50 and it arrived in a champagne flute! Very overpriced.

Staff were friendly enough in restaurant and attentive.

At check out, we mentioned our lack of sleep and the fact that we were tired due to the noise of the bed only to be told that sheā€™d pass that onto maintenance. No apology.

Definitely in no rush to return.

User

Terrible place. May have been nice once. Arrived and was given a room in the Stirling wing. On way to room corridors were littered with dirty laundry and all manner of empty bottle, glasses and room sevice trays. Room was okay but about as far away from the reception as you could get. We then went to book a table for dinner which we had already prepaid and were told there were no tables available until 9pm. So we went back to our room packed our bag and left. Receptionist didn't even seem surprised. We will not be going back
