"We held a conference here and I have to say the service we received was excellent. The staff were exceptional nothing was too much trouble, even when we were quite demanding! "Making an international move with my dog the weekend before Christmas was not without loads of stress. Checking into this hotel, though, allowed me a moment of peace. From the moment I checked in until the moment I checked out, each member of staff I encountered displayed a level of service that I would classify as above and beyond: warm greetings, friendly smiles, helpful advice, etc. In addition to that, the hotel was clean and well kept. I was quite pleased to find room-s...ervice available, especially since I was traveling with my dog. Plus, having a free shuttle to the airport leaving every 15 minutes made getting to where I needed to be easy."

We just had one night at the hotel. After a very early flight into Edinburgh, the desk staff were very friendly and even managed to locate a room to check in to at 10am. We were very pleased with that! A nice touch of fresh cookies on check in too. Room was clean and comfortable and a great night's sleep was had. We managed to use the pool, sauna and steam room and the facilities were clean and tidy. Towels provided. Restaurant was lovely and the food was excellent. Nothing too much trouble in this hotel and the staff are a credit to Hilton. Thank you and well done.

Stayed as usual in twin room with son before our early morning flight home from visiting family. Reception staff excellent as always. Room immaculate and son loved the complimentary cookies from front desk after our long drive in the bad weather. We love the big comfortable beds. So relaxing to stay stress free before next leg of journey. Food is always beautiful and chef is always accommodating to my special diet needs. Breakfast is fab and also covers all diet needs with lots of choice. Nothing is too much trouble in DoubleTree Hilton Edinburgh Airport which is why we will always return.

Our flight had been cancelled and we were booked to leave very early on 12th Aug. We managed to book three rooms for our family.of five and, despite the stress and angst, we had an enjoyable evening. Special mention for the bar staff and waiter, Colin, who were great fun and also very professional.

Although we live in Fife, my Mum had an early morning flight, which is why we stayed over. Every single aspect of our experience was absolutely fantastic. We arrived late, so ordered room service. Both meals were freshly prepared, delicious + reasonably priced. I'd taken the car, but used the free shuttle bus to the airport. I was then able to go back to my room + relax for another few hours before heading home. Car Parking was £9, but it's valid until 12:00 that night + it normally costs me a lot more to park in the Airport Terminal for a matter of hours! All staff were superb + nothing was too much trouble. We also included full Scottish breakfast, which was available from 5am - unlimited buffet style + also freshly prepared. Cost was £113 for twin room (2 double beds) + all of the above. Would definitely highly recommend.

A massive thank you to Doubletree for my Facebook win of a party night for 10 people. We came along last night received drinks on arrival, our prepaid drinks were ready for us in ice basins. We had a wonderful dinner followed by dancing to some great songs. The staff couldn’t be more helpful. I couldn’t last the pace unfortunately til the end but managed to stay til 12 midnight. A couple of guests stayed over and enjoyed full English breakfast.

Was at a Xmas party night last night the 15th December...on arrival the guy on reception wasn't 100% helpful and we were never offered cookies.But when we got to our room we were delighted with the size of room and the cleanliness.Found the meal at our Xmas night not substantial enough but for what we had we thoroughly enjoyed.We had a great night good night's sleep and the breakfast was the best and staff were very helpful and polite.We hope to return next year

Had a lovely overnight stay for a party night in the hotel . Fantastic value for money , the room was better than expected, very comfy bed and very spacious. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean, apart from cobwebs up high. Breakfast was fantastic , lots of choice and good quality product cooked very well . The meal for the party night was below standard and quite frankly very disappointing , especially my partners vegetarian offering . However, having said this we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return again

Good hotel but with no air conditioning you have to leave the windows open to make the room cool. Of course this lets in noise from the road, trams and planes. Staff are friendly and hotel is easy to walk to/from the airport. Shuttle buses get rammed as serve car parks too.

We treated ourselves. The service was excellent. The food V GOOD. HOWEVER it was spoiled by a very bad nights (or no sleep )

The bed springs dug into our backs. The noise from the pluming very squeecky. The light that came into the bedroom through the door surround .there was also doors banging throughout the night. As I said to start with we treated ourselves. We spent a lot of money for us.

On booking out this morning I brought my complaints to the receptionist. She did not seem to care. Is all she said was. That's a shame very sorry. Your bill is *****..it's not often I complaine. But I did today. .will book premiere inn next time.

We stayed at the doubletree prior to an early morning flight. When we arrived there was a real buzz in the hotel. Front desk staff were very helpful and efficient. We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent. The reason I’ve only given it 3 stars is that the bed in the room was so noisy, all you had to do was wiggle your toe and it would creak. Needless to say we didn’t have a great sleep which is a shame as we liked all the other elements of this hotel. (My in laws had stayed the previous night and had the same problem)

Not that impressed for the money.have stayed at travel lodge and rooms are just as comfortable but a lot cheaper.breakfast should have been included but didn't start until 5am ? As i was leaving before that it didn't happen.i did ask about breakfast box like other hotels do but this was not forthcoming. Was convenient for airport otherwise nothing special for the price.

It was a lovely place, we thought the lady that took us to our table was a bit nippy, we asked about the sandwiches as my friend is allergic to butter, and we were trying trying to ask about the filling, as we are both allergic to any fish. She did nip back, did we not say when we booked it but we had to say, which is another story. That when I phoned too book it was a very lovely chap from the Spa, he explained that the pool was closed but we could book afternoon tea and gave me the number to phone to book it.

I phoned to book and the gent that answered did not seem to know what I was talking about so he said he would transfer my call, well he put me back through to Ryan at the Spa.

He kindly said that when he finish his shift, he would go up and book it under my name. He phoned me back and told me what time and that was it done! Which was great, he also said that they would be intouch if there was any problems.

In the result that there was a sandwich with prawns on it, I ate that, wither the result that I had an upset stomach later that night.

Apart from that it was nice.

Received an apology vie e mail x £10 refund! Safe to say avoid this and book the premier inn nicer room at a better price.

Not really that impressed to be honest, I’ve stayed in better B&B’s - with better customer service and food. Family trip to NYC, which had been booked for a while, travelling from Co Durham, we left our car parked there also.

On checking in - we paid for our room & car parking upfront, leaving the tab open purely for food that night. Table booked for four, ordered food and two meals turned up initially - at 6pm, and we waited 25mins for the other two meals, first two had finished - so the family meal was ruined straight away - Not a good impression, so then on check out- a different guy then charged us again for our room ? Hit number two, so a crap family meal - and a double hit for the room rate @ nearly £500 - not really impressed tbh, outrageous customer service - not happy and won’t be staying there again - waiting for my refund to come through,while in NYC

Just checked in before our flight out of the airport tomorrow. Out of the vast choice of airport hotels we specifically chose this hotel for the use of the pool and spa facilities. We were very disappointed to find at check in that the pool was closed due to health and safety concerns from the council. The receptionist did not seem to care and insisted that the closure was well advertised on social media. This is simply not true as I cannot find anywhere on this page to specify that the pool is closed.

The bathroom wasn't the cleanest had black mould all around the bath, shower head and between the tiles. We ordered breakfast to the room, when it arrived my partner answered the door and informed the waiter I was not dressed but he pushed past saying that he had to bring it into the room and walked in to me naked, he then turned to me to ask for a signature without even apologising, to top it all the cooked breakfast was incomplete and cold. Overall this was the most basic and unlavish Hilton I have stayed in and would not be returning.

The £3 was duly paid, she then took the ticket from us and proceeded to inform us that the barrier was broken and that we didn't need the ticket after all. This was said with what I can only describe as a smirk. Needless to say we did not get the £3 back. Guess what? Neither will we be.

Our room was not as advertised through Hilton’s website. After bringing this to the attention of the front desk staff I was told that our room was newly refurbished ....... BUT in reality our room looks like it has not been touched since late 70’s early 80’s . The pictures of our room definitely do not match the pictures of the room from Hilton’s web site � this is false advertisement, we would have not stayed here if we had seen the real pictures of our room ����

Over a 10 minute wait for the Receptionist, Anna - who turned the lady in front of us away as she was ‘busy’ her colleague was left to do 3 check-ins. The queue was building behind us but Anna wouldn’t have known this as she never once looked up from her computer screen.



Eventually when Anna was ready to serve, she took our parking token, and charged us to park our car in their car park whilst we ate our dinner! Having been a regular here for many years we were under the impression that the staff would validate your token and because you were a paying Customer there would be no charge!



We again queried this and was told yes the charge would stand.



If I’m going to visit a restaurant I certainly don’t expect to pay to park in their own car park!



We have had words with the hotel and said we will never return - please be warned with these charges - no doubt we were also charged whilst we waited for the rude ‘Anna’ to finish what she was doing also.
