The iconic Jenners has been a landmark on Princes Street for over 180 years. With many names that have been long forgotten their original building still stand and are used today.
Dovecot is exhibiting a photography series on the Scottish high street of the past.
The Scottish Department Store display is the Viewing Balcony and open Mon-Fri 12.00 - 3.00pm and Sat 10.30am-5.30pm

Renowned writer and Liberty fan Oscar Wilde has been immortalised in an immersive piece by artists McDermott & McGough, now in London.
The groundbreaking work is a secular space memorialising one of the earliest forebears of gay liberation whilst commemorating contemporary LGBTQ+ martyrs and those lost to the AIDS crisis and can be used by the public.
This major new commission came about through Studio Voltaire, who Dovecot worked with in 2016 alongside Jim Lambie on the rug... 'Soft Machine'.

Such a great space, charming detail and excellent style... the collaborations and culture of the people creating this arts centre define what good progress be.

It’s an area of the arts that is often neglected. One of the great things about it is that you can see a complicated process taking shape into an art.

Incredible environment, great exhibitions and a top draw cafe. One of Edinburgh's hidden gems!

If you are looking for a place to relax and appreciate artists at work this is the perfect place. The exhibition is well worth visiting

Gorgeous stop in Edinburgh. Stylish, inspiring and friendly.. and not a hint of pretension. Cafe just perfect and thanks to the wonderful gentleman cafe staff who chatted to my 2 year old girl and gave us finger puppets to keep her entertained. She was charmed. I want to go back tomorrow.

Friendly, helpful staff, great exhibitions, wonderful food and gifts. My favourite gallery in the city.
