I started to experiment with ivory free products a few years ago. My first attempts were really bad, fairly embarassing in fact.
However one thing that I noticed was that people were still keen to buy them?
So after somehting of a scattergun approach to designs I have learned what interests customers and what doesent. The designs have improved and now we make small runs of handmade items for sale.
Designed and made in Scotland, by Dragon Works we market our goods under the Dragon Works brand and the brand Odds Ornaments. This is because some of the things we make are not specifically Japanesiana.
We specialise in little ornamental trees and fish, areas that few British makers are involved in.
At some point in the future there will be amazon books produced by Mesembria Publishing about how some of the items are made.
We believe in reviving the small quality British maker.
