About Drama Lab
Glasgow actresses Jody Jameson and Kirsty May Hamilton have created a unique youth theatre model focusing on creativity, technique and performance.
Drama Lab Description
DramaTown offers preschool children fun and lively workshops based on stories, songs and rhymes.
DramaLab is aimed at children who love drama, films, books and role play. The ethos of these workshops is ethical and holistic; there are no auditions and every child of any background is welcomed.
This original approach focuses on techniques for young people such as the craft of acting, voice and movement, storytelling and script work.
The sessions are built around themes and topics which inspire the children and encourage teamwork, empowerment and a sense of ensemble.
We instil in the children the importance of environmentally friendly theatre making, and traditional and green methods of prop making and set building.
Young people will love the mix of fun and games, arts and crafts, improvisation and performance.
