Due to hosting a LEADER funding event we shall be closing today at 4.30 with last orders at 4pm. LEADER have been fundamental in helping provide finance to get us up and running. We are truly grateful to them for this! Normal opening hours shall resume on Thursday 20th.

Drift are very excited to announce that Sally Rankin KIN Yoga will be here tomorrow from 9am - 10am to kick start the day with a relaxing yoga session. You've worked so hard and WOW! Love Drift! Thank you! The view, it's out of this world, definitely take your binoculars and the homemade cakes, delicious!! I really enjoyed my cappuccino too, it looked pretty and tasted smooth, I didn't get such a huge spike and dip that some coffee can give so this was an added positive touch to the whole Drift experience. Lovely friendly staff who are all working hard to make sure you get the best. I complimented the girl who served us and she gave us her biggest smile. Very happy to become a regular Drifter!

Love it, the tea and cake could taste awful (which they don’t) and it would still be this best place to be. Such a lovely place to come and contemplate and I love the rhubarb and custard tea!

Beautiful view, great coffee and my son's carrot cake was delicious. Can't wait to come back when it's stormy and take in the view. My only suggestion would be a dairy free cake option, I had to do without.

The staff at Drift were amazingly accommodating when my elderly father and I visited this morning. A thousand thank yous to both your colleagues who moved us from table to table as my father tried to find a seat that he was happy with (ie. one that was cool enough). You have some great staff.



The reason this isn't a 5* review is for a few small things, mainly that the small, round tables are awful. They're too small for saucers, teapots, food and all the accoutrements for more than one person. And for someone elderly or less mobile it's nearly impossible to get close enough to the table to actually eat properly. A lot of people don't want to sit on a stool - in fact I saw at least two stools being used as 'extra' tables to put food on. Just get some proper tables, some fans for hot days, something savoury to complement the lovely cake (quiche and salad?) and you'll be grand.



The other concern I had was the toilet door locks - there doesn't appear to be a way to free someone who has locked themselves in, even in the accessible loo. Most loos have a lock you can release from the outside with a coin.



These are just teething problems. The location and team are top notch. All the best for this exciting venture. Back in a few weeks!
