More for a younger college crowd but a good late night atmosphere

I'm afraid to say that I was thoroughly disappointed, and can't recommend this establishment to anyone in future. Firstly, the pub is not cheap (as if often reported), given that I paid £5 for a pint and £3.50 for a shot. What really disappointed me, however, was the fact that the beers tasted "yeasty" due to unclean pipes. I finished two different pints, both of which tasted vile. I finished these, did not complain, and did not ask for a refund. As we left the bar, I politely mentioned to a bartender (possibly the manager) that they should clean their draft lines more frequently in future. He proceded to argue with me, saying that they wash their pipes every two weeks and that I must be mistaken as if a) don't know what a beer should taste like, and b) that my concerns as a customer were not to be addressed. It's a shame really...

Best Irish bar in Edinburgh, doesn't try to hard like some other pubs

Door staff was friendly; bar staff was quite arrogant, my glass was dirty, music was average wasn't too keen on the choice of music Boyzone and westlife repeatedly played other than that an average atmosphere

Great bouncing bar great music and vibe

Love this place. Live music on a Sunday, pool table and they serve Coors light ( the last is a personal thing lol. Love Coors light). This Irish themed pub has some Irish themed beers as well which are worth a try. Never failed to have a good night here

Great craic & ceoil here... Had a laugh with the staff, although did have to test them on where their craft beer was brewed

Craicin Irish Pub within the historic Old Town.- decent stocked gantry, good quality live bands and big tables for the larger groups! The loos let this place down unfortunately..
All you'd expect from a Irish themed pub & more.

Loud music, football themed interior decoration, screen playing rugby at 2 am. No windows.

Was told I was "too drunk" to enter even though I was pretty sober, then 2 minutes later a girl is literally legless and had to be carried by her friends is deemed A OK to enter, but maybe they're more concerned with their ratios.

Bit of a weird venue to see comedy in - they need to put more chairs out, many people having to stand.

Bought a pint and didn't receive my change, was standing for 10 minutes and I was told "you were given it", then I went back up to the bar with a mate who was nice enough to buy me and my other colleague a drink, they got two Jager shots and I got a VK, after they received their drink, I didn't get mine so I asked where it was and (by the same bartender who didn't give me my change) was told "I just gave you it" I told her I didn't get it and her colleague said "maybe you should be more careful with your drinks" I hadn't taken my eyes off the bar and my colleague even said that I didn't get it, she offered to pay for a new one but after being persistent with them, they finally gave me my drink. I understand that they were extremely busy and crammed that night but there was no need to basically tell me I was chucking my drink around. Dont think I'll be back here to be honest, door staff were quite rude as well.
