You must visit here if staying anywhere near. 80,000 acres of grounds with walks. Formal gardens which are delightful and dog friendly, and fabulous art and history in this stately home which is still in use today, all brought to life by knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide on a tour which takes about an hour.

Great castle, well worth a visit. Do the guided tour of the castle the guides are excellent and the vast knowledge of the history of both the castle and family is very impressive. The gardens are well worth a visit, especially if you have children. There is a good outdoor play park with sheltered seating for the adults.

During the guided tour you will enjoy discovering a magnificent villa full of art masterpieces. After the tour, a quick bite at the bar/restaurant is also recommended.

Castle is beautiful and the land surrounding it is huge, well kept and impressive. But the treasures inside the castle are the real joy, including a stunning Rembrandt and some phenomenal period furniture.

Guide was not great though and might be better replaced with a recording.

Good tour, great guide, informative.
Castle, decor, paintings and surrounding guardens are beautiful.

Unfortunately photos are not allowed inside due to insurance.

Castle tour excellent, even my six-year old loved it, the guide being accommodating and very interactive. Playground just a little ways off was great, too.
