The nursery children have been dancing their little hearts out in the garden all afternoon and we even have some of the boys on the drums playing along to the beat! Ask us about our day!

School Sports day has been rescheduled for the 18th June, weather permitting. Same timings apply as before: 10 -12 potted sports, 1.45pm - 2.50pm races, followed by a parents race if time permits. Fingers crossed for good weather!
We are rescheduling our AM nursery sports to the 20th June at 10.15 - 11.15, weather permitting on the school field. If it is wet this will be in the school hall.

Unfortunately due to the rain over night, and continued bad weather today, sports day has had to be cancelled. It is hoped that this will be rescheduled to tomorrow however this will depend on the condition of the school field. There are a few extra dates pencilled into the diary in the future so all is not lost! Children are still welcome to come to school in their sports kit.

Primary 1/2, 2a and 2b had a great day at Dynamic Earth last week. We would like to say a big thank you, once again, to everyone who donated sponsor money towards our trip and to the parent helpers who attended with us. Enjoy some of our photos from the day.

Thank you to everyone who has joined our PEEP sessions so far. Our first session focused on starting school and in our second session we focused this on 'becoming a reader' with a trip to the library. Next week we will be looking at 'becoming a writer'. There will only be one session which will run Thursday 6th June 1pm - 2pm due to in-service day on Tuesday. All welcome!

Dr More from Woodmill High School came to teach P3/4 about forces. We learned how to use Newton meters to measure the forces of gravity and friction. We recorded and compared our results.

P6A have been reviewing their French and how to describe themselves. Not only can we say our name, age, height and build, describe our hair and eyes, whether we wear contacts of earrings etc, whether we have brothers or sisters, step or half siblings etc we have also been learning how to desribe other people's characteristics in the 2nd and 3rd person. We have documented our learning in a mind map. Ask us about what we have written.

Congratulations to Miss McMurchie in the Flowertots room. All her hard work has paid off and she is now a fully qualified EYO! Well done from all of us here at Duloch!

One of our pupils has lost their black Nike waterproof jacket. It has a white tick on chest and his name on the inside label. If anyone has picked up a black Nike jacket, could you check the label to see if it is the correct one?! Thank you for your help!

We were lucky enough to enjoy Sports Day this afternoon in the lovely sunshine! The children were absolutely fantastic in all of their races and we are really proud of each and every one of them. Thank you to everyone that attended, we hope you enjoyed the event as much as us! See all our AM parents on Thursday at 10.15am!

The Nursery team would like to send their many thanks to everyone that came along to the Silent Disco, bought raffle tickets and donated prizes. We raised a total of £750 for our Kiltwalk Fundraiser which is being donated to the It's Good 2 Give charity. We are very grateful for all the support!

Just a little reminder that this Tuesday 2pm-3pm and Thursday 10.15am-11.15am is the nursery Sports Day. Could we ask you to please ensure that your child comes prepared with the appropriate active wear and shoes for all types of Scottish weather. Thanks and see you all there!
