This week 3 of our Young Firefighter Peer Educators will be out delivering first aid training through the Youth Scotland First Aid Ready programme, to Ysortit WestDunbartonshire groups рҹҳҖ
Our YFFs are keen to teach more local people basic first aid skills such as CPR, so if your group would like some free training let us knowрҹҡ’

Dumbarton YFF is back tonight after our short rest over the festivities рҹҘі All the team looking forward to what 2019 has in store!
We are looking forward to welcoming a batch of new recruits in a couple of weeks too рҹҳҖ

2018, ScotlandвҖҷs Year of Young People! WeвҖҷve had a blast of a yearрҹҘі WeвҖҷve hit 50 YFF drill nights and 22 activities/events outside of Thursday night too! WeвҖҷve had YFFs in Budapest, Berlin, London & Edinburgh, not to forget Loch Katrine and Campbeltown tooрҹӨ© From HRH Prince Charles birthday to the international YFF symposium - weвҖҷve been seen and heard on a lot of platforms рҹҳҺ
The 4 competitions this year were a blast too! London, Killie and Campbeltown рҹҡ’
What an inspiring group of young people we have at Dumbarton, many who travel from far and wide to be with us each weekрҹ‘ҢрҹҸ». Thanks to the yffs, volunteer instructors and parents/guardians - you make Dumbarton YFFвқӨпёҸрҹҡ’

Brilliant day fundraising in MorrisonвҖҷs Dumbarton for the YFFs and CLIC Sargent in Scotland рҹҳҖ ВЈ350 raised for each! Thanks to the kind people of Dumbarton вқӨпёҸ

Our final session of 2018 was all about team building and problem solving, and what a team we have рҹҡ’
WeвҖҷd like to say a massive thank you to each and every YFF for their dedication this year - weвҖҷve had a crazy amount of events/activities this year (about 2 a month!). Of course we must also thank parents and guardians too for supporting their young people and our unit.

рҹҡЁ CMs Overend and Ferguson are off for part 2 of their U.K. German Connections Youth Exchange in Berlin today too! We hear the Christmas Markets are open рҹҳҖвқ„пёҸрҹҢІ

We will be contacting your parent/guardian in the first two weeks of December to confirm if you have been successful in securing a place on our January 2019 intake.

Our Young Firefighters are at the grand opening of the Phoenix Community Centre in Castlehill today! Why not pop along and see them and the newly opened community centreрҹҳҖ (thereвҖҷs even a bouncy castleрҹӨ©)

Today our Young Firefighters had the honour of representing The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service at the Vale of Leven Remembrance Day Parade.
YFF Crew Manager Overend had the honour of laying a wreath alongside Group Manager Hill on behalf of the YFF unit and SFRS.
We are extremely proud of our YFFs today.
