Dumfries And Galloway Arts Festival Description

Dumfries and Galloway Arts Festival is Scotland’s largest rural performing arts festival, this year's festival will see 41 events in 29 venues across the full breadth of the region.

Arts Live is a network of venues, performing artists and promoters hosting performing arts events across Dumfries and Galloway to create a diverse programme. We work in partnership with a network of venues, artists and promoters to facilitate the programming of quality touring performing arts to the region.

A theatrical field trip where two expert fools take a young audience on a site-responsive adventure to explore their local landscape in search of a rare egg, finding laughter and wonder in the most unexpected places.A playful performance that puts its young audience in the driving seat and responds to their decisions using character clowning, improvisation, puppetry and adventure. D&G's 40th Anniversary Arts Festival is over but we've plenty more live performances with our Arts Live programme : ) Coming up there's quality COMEDY with Jay Lafferty Moffat Old Well Theatre (12th June), a great children's outdoor adventure Call of Nature at CatStrand in New Galloway & The Swallow Theatre near Whithorn (22nd & 23rd June). Wonderful renaissance music from The Galloway Consort at Loch Arthur Farm Shop and Cafe (13th July) & Annan United Reform Church (20th July) as well as lively, energetic award-winning music from Old Bling Dogs (Aug 31st) at Loch Arthur Farm Shop and Cafe.
