Lovely morning out here today. Course set up is well under way. Greens have been cut, holes changed. Fairways 9-16 received a second reverse cut followed up by a cut. Cutting rough is ongoing. The tees and aprons have received a brush and are now being cut. Hopefully the bushes around the pond at the 9th will be trimmed later today.

I would just like to thank the volunteers again for sparing their time to fill the divots last night. Holes 1-7 17 and 18 were completed in around 2 hours with the numbers that turned up. On reflection I think we expected a few more bodies to volunteer a little of their time. Please remember this is your club and course and we should all be trying to preserve it. We are trying to keep the course playability all year round. With play being allowed from mai...n Tees, Fairways and Greens through the winter months. As a club we have launched a divot replacement policy with the introduction of divot cups and boxes. We need to keep this going. The monthly divot nights have been put in place to help us get on top of the issue with the amount of play we receive.

Just a reminder about tonight’s Divot night. Please meet at the 1st tee at 6.00pm. Kevin and Sam from the Greens Team will meet you there. Buckets will be provide but if you would like to bring your own and a small trowel that is fine. Tonight we are going to concentrate on holes 1-7 and 17 and 18 so we don’t interfere with the ladies medal. Hopefully we receive a good turn out from our members.

Tickets will be going on sale this weekend for The Sportsman's Dinner on Saturday 7th September. Book early to avoid disappointment. All tickets must be paid for 4 weeks prior to the event.
