What an amazing year 2016 has been for Dumpling Monkey. We started opening on Sundays, expanded our delivery service with Just Eat, and now we have a second restaurant coming in the Merchant City for January 2017! I am sure you will agree our staff deserve a wee break for the holiday season. Therefore we will be closed for the following days:

Due to open in Glasgow’s bustling Merchant City in January 2017 is a brand new 160 seater Pan Asian restaurant. The Chines...e Chef owner is looking to work closely with an experienced Head Chef/Executive Chef to deliver a concept new to the UK market full of Eastern promise. The successful candidate will: Work with the owner to deliver an unique menu using revolutionary cooking methods. Lead a team of kitchen staff in a demanding kitchen that serves more than 1500 covers a week. Have a pivotal role in the recruitment of Chefs. Train on an ongoing basis young padowans.
The successful candidate must have: Experience in working with rational ovens and vacuum packaging. Preferably experience in working with Asian cuisine and understand the basic difference in cooking methods and use of spices. The personality to be a high profile chef and handle any media exposure positively. A willingness to travel to the far east from time to time to sample the latest trends.
You will need at least 4 years of experience as Head Chef and reference from former employers. Please forward a copy of your CV for consideration. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the right person and I cannot wait for the opportunity to interview you.

This good place in Glasgow West End. I went on a Saturday with two other people and we all very like it good. We walked in and the service was fast. Food came fast and was of good quality. Native Chinese also eat there and say food good. We all very like and the prices good too. I will go Dumpling Monkey again. Name also good and unique.

My wife & I visited Dumpling Monkey for the first time tonight. The staff were very helpful & friendly. The food was delicious! As it was our first visit & we had no idea of how much food we were ordering & we ordered far too much. However, we were given boxes to take the excess home & we are looking forward to experiencing the wonderful tastes for a second time. We will definitely be returning. Thank you very much. �🖒⛤⛤⛤⛤⛤

My favourite place to eat in 2016 and so far 2017. I go there for dumplings each week, the other food also looks incredible. Service is fast and accommodating.

Lovely food, very very filling me and my daughter couldn't finish it all and we didn't' order that much! Lovely staff, very relaxed. Will go back and try some more. Lots of things on the menu I had never tried or even heard of so looking forward to another visit.

Loved this place, the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. We totally over ordered because we were very hungry so we took half of it away in doggy boxes! Reminded me of the places I ate dim sum in in Hong Kong, very authentic.

Love this wee place. Casual dining and food coming out quickly, fresh and very tasty. The dumplings are a must as is the beef. Definitely worth a visit

Had been meaning to try this place for a while now! Just never got round to it!

Service was brilliant. I was torn between the brisket udon soup and the rib udon. Ended up with the rib udon soup which was recommended to me by the girl that served me. We had the pork and Chinese leaf pop stickers to share and my other half got the chicken katsu udon soup! Was brilliant! everything was so tasty! Will definitely be back! Thank you!

For such a small place.. the portions are huge! Never have I seen such a busy, friendly and bustling wee eaterie

Dumpling Monkey is great value for money and great food!�it's the kind of food when your full you can't help but try to eat more because it feels like your wasting such good food.

I have had alot of Chinese and had actually stopped eating it due to the poor quality and appalling prices.

My only regreat is that I live in London and cant easily get more. �🖒

Best Chinese food in Glasgow, hands down - it's my favourite place to eat in Glasgow. Very original place, takes you to far away places with its authentic dishes and cozy and loud atmosphere and the dumplings are simply the best thing you will eat in Glasgow. Super friendly staff too.

Been going since it opened, and it gets better all the time. Excellent food, fast service and great portion sizes. Definitely recommend.

Amazing food, reminds me of the fabulous Chinese restaurants in my hometown of San Francisco. Great food for eating in or takeaway (a quick pick-up of pork and chive potstickers today for my lunch), and really friendly staff.

Had noted good reviews so it was on my list. Eventually got to experience the delicious potsticker dumplings & their chicken wings - phew! Mind blowing! Best I've eaten in ages. Even though I live in Edinburgh the Dumpling Minkey is now on my regular list.

I've visited here several times and always been happy with the food and value for money. However after today's visit I've been left disappointed. The boiled dumplings had changed completely. The dough was really thick and stodgy - not sure what was going on but they were nothing like they had been on previous occasions. We also had to send one lot of chicken dumplings back as they were cold in the centre and clearly not cooked properly. Come on Dumpling Monkey, you can do better than this!

The food is brilliant but the take away service is terrible. The app often doesn't work and rather than disable it or get it to send an automated message they just leave it so its effectively useless because you have to call up to find out if it's working every time. If it's not then there's no question of transferring the 10% off discount. When you call up you will find no one can understand you (whether you're English or Scottish) so orders arrive as a bit of a mixed bag of surprises rather than what you ordered. Good for pick up or sit in but not for take away!

Place has a great buzz and energy but the food was meh! Ordered vegetable dumplings on 2 occasions, once boiled and the other pan fried and I was left deflated. Could not finish the food, either the dough was too thick or too oily.

Wouldn't suggest ordering delivery on a Monday night before their closing time. Received order confirmation however the food never came... if you are not planning to take an order at least have a curtesy to inform the customer, so they don't have to wait for the order that ain't coming...

The best part, I still received an email for my feedback. Really disappointing.
