Reviews
lovely place with piece of harmony in the air, advantage is that there are not many tourist so you can enjoy this place as much as you can, stunning views, nice natural promenade. Love it.
great little spot on the coast
I used to come scuba diving here years back
still a lovely place
well worth a stay here
Very nice place
Superb stop you have the best of both worlds high st independent quaint shops cafes pubs etc or the little fishing port with lovely cafes... good fish and chips ideal for a coach stop👍
Seems a lot of effort has went in to the Harbour and it's all the better for it. Very pleasant area. Well done to all involved in the development and upkeep.
Mum and Dad used to have a caravan in Dunbar had many a happy holiday in the 60 S with our two girls, got fresh fish for tea from Mr Mar down at the harbour, could let the girls out to play and not be frightened of anything happening to them. Used to be a shop in the high street sold everything at half price at end of season. Great friendly place with lots of history, sadly not been back in a long time don't have a car now,but good memories.
Lovely harbour, definitely worth a visit
Lovely fishing village, nice friendly people, great fish. I visit once or twice per year from Kent and always look forward to my return visit summer or winter. Shame that part of the beach is now covered in rocks as this was a great meeting place for getting to talk to the locals walking the beach
Love this place...our dad used to scuba dive here when we were kids. Many happy Sunday picnics, rock-pooling. Today we scattered his ashes where he was happiest! ❤️
Beautiful place.
Haven't been to Dunbar in years. Wow the recent upgrade works at the harbour are breathtaking as is the surrounding scenery. The whole harbour area was well kept, no rubbish lying around and sufficient bins provided, so no excuse. Lovely lady in the RNLI gift shop. Local fish and chips were the best I've tasted in a long while. Won't be so long before I'm back again.
Great views really beautiful
Dunbar is beautiful. The harbour is historical with a lot of information explaining when an how it all began . Beaches both sides of the harbour are amazing in different ways. Always love my visits here
Dunbar is a lovely place and the harbour is very nice. We go camping at Belhaven Bay and fish off the rocks at back of harbour in the summer. Dunbar has nice pubs and lots of shops to muse over. We also visit the leisure pool at top of harbour. Please visit this place you won't be disappointed
Brilliant to see how lovely the harbour is now with the walled garden and all the history explained. Super few hours spent enjoying the fresh air and exploring the rocks.
Beautiful location, great place to eat fish and chips from just up the road. Shame the old Fort is being gutted and turned into an arts venue but I guess at least it means it won't be left to fall into the sea.
Back to my teenage days when me and all my mates went camping there. Looks very different from the 60s. However had a great wee family day out my grandson loved all the long closes to run up and down. Sadly wr got there on sunday and most of the shops were shut.. but on the other hand that saved me a few bob !!!. The locals were really nice and friendly and we look forward to going back and spending more time there. Defo a place to put on your list to visit.
An absolutely awesome must visit place, with a wonderful little harbour, Sammy a resident seal (and a few others) and in our opinion the best fish and chips money can buy and a place you must see believe it or not is the multi award winning toilets...laden with fresh flowers......
me, my brother, niece and my dad do a lot of fishing from there. real nice place, the residents are friendly, my dog even jumped of the side of the castle at the harbour and survived without any wounds haha so you know it isn't a dangerous place. i'd definitely recommend giving Dunbar a visit to anyone who's looking for a family outing
So nice that there is now a place where you can buy seafood, hit snacks and drinks by the harbour
