Dundee University Islamic Society Description
Welcome to Dundee University Islamic Society (DUIS) on Facebook. DUIS is the oldest and largest Islamic society in the University and has won numerous awards in the past including the prestigious Dundee University Society of the Year Award 2007 /2008 and Most Active Society Award 2008 /2009.
University is where you will spend some of the most memorable years of your life and we hope that DUIS becomes one of your treasured memories. As one of the most active student societies on campus, we aim to make your life at university more than a hunt for a degree. As Muslim students, we all have a responsibility upon us to pass on the true message of Islam and to act according to its teachings. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “Pass on my teachings, even if just a verse”.
Regardless of your religious or ethnic background, DUIS will always have something to offer you. Our activities range from study circles, lectures, sports tournaments, dinners, parties, comedy evenings, Islamic Awareness weeks, charities and doing events within the community, PLUS much much more!
