Super Sunday It's a wet start to Super Sunday but the course is open and we look forward to professionals day which starts at 10. This is always a highlight of the season and the forecast is good for the rest of the day.
Well done to all the winners from yesterday and the prizes can be picked up from the pro shop. A special welcome to Graham Ballantyne on reaching a landmark handicap of +1, I get the feeling the course record is in jeopardy over the next few weeks. The other ...major prize from yesterday of the longest drive at 8 was won by myself!!!
We have a full junior programme as normal today from 12pm, so bring the kids along and see if they can become become the next generation of Bally's.
We also have our full list of specials on today, come along and enjoy the member's meal deal which remains at the excellent price of 2 courses for £8.45.
It's yet another busy week ahead, we are meeting all the local headteachers later in the week to discuss "the 2019 Course" which is really exciting.
On Tuesday morning at 9am we have our first sand and seeding event of the season. Please come along and help for an hour, meet Derek at the pro shop.

Massive weekend ahead at DPGC
It's now Wednesday and only two days to the start of a packed weekend. On Friday we will welcome 70 guests to our sponsor's dinner and the unveiling of the "2019 Course" welcome board.
On Saturday, we have day one of the Professionals weekend with around 150 golfers in the draw. In the afternoon we will be showing the Scottish Cup Final and we will as usual provide a complimentary buffet.
... On Saturday evening we welcome the fantastic "Big Night Out", tickets are still available from behind the bar. Why not bring along your friends and enjoy our special cabaret menu.
On Sunday, we will have day 2 of our professionals weekend with our texas scramble played to extremely unusual pin positions.

Super Sunday It was fantastic to see both lounges packed yesterday afternoon, thanks to our 2 visiting parties. The visitors I spoke to were hugely complimentary of the service they had received and the atmosphere within the golf club.
A word also to Graham Ballantyne and Derek Paton who both shot 67's in this weeks competition, fantastic. The strength of golf at DPGC is undeniable.
... Onto today and we have a full junior programme today starting at 12, good luck to everyone and lets hope for another record attendance.
In the golf club, we will be showing all the live sport including the conclusion of the Scottish Premiership at 3pm. We will also have our full catering service available so why not treat the family and come along.
It's another busy week for the entire team at DPGC with the seniors open and then the Sponsors dinner on Friday. The sponsors dinner is a great opportunity to thank our sponsors for their support and over 70 guests have confirmed attendance. We also hope to unveil our new "2019 course" welcome board.
Next weekend we have the very popular professional's weekend, there is still time to enter. Added to Yvonne Steffens 50th birthday celebrations, it's a busy weekend ahead, happy birthday Yvonne, we can't believe you are only two years younger than Colin!!.

Super Sunday It's a cracking day today with some great sport to look forward too.
We have a full junior programme today, I wonder how many kids we will get today?. The lessons start at 12pm and 1pm. We are proposing adding in another session of lessons but Mike and Ally will discuss this with the parents today. We are also going to form a junior committee who will have a remit to oversee all things DPGC juniors. If you are a parent and would like to be part of that committee ...please let me know?
We have all the live sport today with the old firm game kicking off at 12pm, as usual this match is only shown in the SIIS lounge. Then at 2pm we have the climax of the English Premier League, we will also be providing a complimentary buffet at half time.
Our full catering service is also available all day today with a wide range of specials, so bring along the family and enjoy the special atmosphere of DPGC.
This week is club council week and on Friday I am meeting with the FGT to discuss a new exciting promotion to encourage new adults into the game of golf

The clock is ticking!!!!
The end of the football season is now very close and Sunday will be a cracker. We will be showing the Old Firm match in the SIIS lounge and the English Premier League deciders starting at 2pm.
As usual we will have a complimentary buffet at half time of the Liverpool and Man City matches. Lets hope these matches live up to the sporting entertainment we have enjoyed this week.
... Thanks to Paul Meikle we have two new clocks to place at the pro shop, these are 900mm wide and look great. These clocks should ensure we all start and finish on time. We did only purchase one but our chief negotiator Ken Smith managed to get two, well done Ken.
