When we were first moving into our flat, Dunpark was pretty helpful and the staff friendly. However, the flat was disgusting when we moved in and full of junk. We asked for it to be re-cleaned but it remained unpleasant. We endured this for the one year we lived there as we were all busy enough not to spend too much time at home. The moving out process was then was awful. Firstly, communication was next to none and I had to email and phone far too often to try to sort out everything at the end of the tenancy. We were charged an outrageous amount off our deposit given the state of the flat when we moved in, but I had grown so tired of waiting for replies to emails that I let them off with this money, it's already been over a month with no sign of our deposit and I do not want to delay it any more. After reading such bad reviews I was apprehensive when contacting Dunpark as an investment landlord. Dunpark was recommended by an existing client who has never had an issue with the company. I had heard that they had brought in a new team with a wealth of experience so thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt. You only ever hear of bad reviews and never when a company has done well. Dunpark were great, they put my property on the market and 2 days later the property had multiple good applications for me to choose from. After all the relevant tenant checks and ensuring my property was compliant with current legislation, my tenants moved in 2 weeks later. My tenants are happy and I can relax knowing Dunpark is looking after my property. I am on the look out for my next investment property which will be managed by Dunpark. Keep up the good work!

I have been a tenant with Dunpark for several years and would not hesitate in recommending them to any prospective tenants. I have always found Dunpark - happy to listen and swift to act. On the very rare occasion when I have experienced a problem with the property staff have been friendly, polite, courteous, professional, understanding and keen to help find a satisfactory resolution.

After seeing the reviews on google, I was apprehensive but gave them a chance. I was relocating and anxious about my move as it was my first in over 18 years but Dunpark couldn't have been more supportive in helping me find a property and getting me moved into my new home. It seems they have done a massive revamp and it's definitely working. Thanks to all at Dunpark I shall definitely be recommending you in future.

If it was possible to give them less than one star I would. There seems to be a theme here whereby landlords are happy, but tenants are not. This is because it's a seller's market in Edinburgh when it comes to renting property and shows the company's supposed commitment to customer service to be a sham. As others have said their communication is terrible. If you have a problem you will be ignored until you are at your wits end. If they have a problem you'll be instantly hounded by very rude and abrupt emails. I've dealt with other lettings agencies, and while none are all that good (by nature of being letting agencies) these are certainly the worst.

Absolutely disgusted with this company. I am a neighbour who has had to suffer banging and noise for months and completely disrespected from Catrina and sharon. Emma was kind and listened but in general appalled by how I have been treated their manners are shocking. I would never rent a property from them or rent out mine.

Absolutely disgusted, shocked and utterly disappointed with this company! Having expressed an interest in a property in Clermiston we paid the deposit money to the value they requested. A week later they then advised that the landlord expressed more and they made a mistake thus the deposit increasing from £1100 to £1550. That should have been a warning sign for us! Then they requested passports from both my husband and I, then the driving licence each, then a copy of bank statements, then proof of address, then proof of earnings. References from employer was provided at their request as well(all this over 6 weeks) They then contacted my husbands employer to request previous earnings from previous years, despite us providing them with pay slips and references. We advised them under data protection act my husband company will not provided such information yet despite this they STILL went against us and contacted my husbands employer. It was following this contact that my husband's company (who is a large national crown company) advised that they have concerns with regards the information that this company has requested from us and under data protection act we have already provided Dunpark too much under data protection.

To top the above off, as my driving licence and passport is still in my maiden name for professional reasons ~(even though our bank accounts is in our married name and our biills) they they requested my marriage certifcate. After concerns were being raised already due to the identity information they have on us we challenged them as to why they now need more and we were concerned due to identity reasons (pls note my husband and I has been together for 20 years and have two children). We could not believe our ears when a woman by the name of Sharon said "this sounds really dodgy you denying us your marriage certificate" DODGY!! we could not believe our ears. My car which is on finance only needed a bank statement and my passport. They have enough identity to create identity fraud and was calling us dodgy?!?!

We were looking to rent due to my husband being promoted to take over scotland region, and our intention was to rent our property out in england, rent in scotland for 2 years until we ascertained if we wished to settled. Ive had to put our property on hold due to this unprofessional company and cancel a prospective tennant.

This company either seriously needs staff training or a higher body looking into their ethics.

Worst agency I have ever dealt with. Emma Haddow is totally useless, ignores all emails when we have queries and then chases us up acting as if we have never been in touch. Gave us only a few days notice of rent increase and has an extremely rude phone manner as well. Completely unprofessional agency and very difficult to deal with.
UPDATE 30/9/16 Emma Haddon once again has proven herself incapable of replying to an email (actually, incapable of replying to about 6 that my flatmate and I both sent regarding an urgent matter - whether or not our lease was being terminated the following week or not!). We were urgently seeking answers and got completely ignored, to then have our new tenancy agreement arrive in the post a couple of weeks later. An email could easily have been sent confirming what was happening with our move out date?? I then complained to Catriona Macaulay who, following the pattern of every other useless member of staff in the place, completely ignored me; so I followed up a week later asking for a response, to be totally ignored again. After a month I was at the end of my tether so I passed all of this on to Emma Fursman looking for a response. Surprise surprise, she has refused to acknowledge my email either! Emma Fursman's LinkedIn page states that she "focuses on a high quality service to landlords and tenants," which is one of the most laughable things I've ever heard. There is NO service to tenants at all, they could not give less of a damn! Yet funnily enough, when they want a response about something you get constantly harassed by both phone and email until you get back to them.
I would urge any tenants to avoid this absolute joke of an agency at all costs!
