Having had a sneak preview of the work (!) I can recommend a visit to this exhibition when it opens. Some lovely interpretations of our Caithness landscapes.

Just finished a large batch of new local view cards with views taken over the course of last year. Plenty of choice and now on two display spinners.

While reading the Sunday magazines last week the wife made the surprising, for her, discovery that she has been living with a fashion icon.... Seem that cords, wooly jumpers and leather jackets are the in thing this autumn. Looks like I have been a trend setter these last years....😎... so if you want a stylish framing job done, drop on by.....

Ali Elder has just dropped off one of his popular images done as a canvas. Can be seen in the window - here is a shot of on on my bench. It is a wraparound although is not very obvious from the photo.

Just in from Pezaz yesterday - some more Caitness slates,and also a smaller version - still with all the place names though! Ideal last minute gift idea as it is popular with all age groups, locals and exiles.

Interested in your town? You should be - it has a long history and was mentioned in the Viking sagas. Thurso Heritage Society has produced a very informative series of leaflets highlighting aspects of the towns heritage and they are here in the shop to pick up and read. Well worth reading.....Also the booklet on the history and changes to Old St Peter's Kirk over the centuries, which is a real treasure that needs our attention and involvement.
