The trainers decided to offer a bit of a boost to the handlers in the middle class, for the handlers and dogs who are working towards the Bronze, Silver & Gold Good Citizens Awards. We have awarded a Team of the Month rosette to Tom & Monty for the progress they have made since joining the class from the puppies. Monty is a lovely natured Sheltie & Tom has really worked hard with him to help him shine ‚≠źÔłŹ Look out for future awards - it could be you!ūüĎĆ

Congratulations to our latest young handler Annie and her super Collie Blue who completed the KCGCDS Puppy Foundation Award. It’s great to have young members at the club. Well the latest recipient of the 2018 Progress Trophy is John with Zeus. John & Zeus have barely missed a class since they started on the Puppy course. Zeus is a young headstrong Husky with a fabulous temperament & a vicious sense of humour!! John takes all of Zeus‚Äô antics on the chin & has worked so hard with him to achieve their KCGCDS Bronze award - no easy feat with a laid back dog with his own mind & idea on how to ‚Äúdo things‚ÄĚ ūüėÉūüėÉ You are a credit to each other John & Z...eus and you really do deserve this award. Congratulations - here‚Äôs to the Silver!!

Every year at our Annual General Meeting we present a Progress Trophy to the handler or handlers who we think have made the biggest improvement over the year. The trophy or trophies are awarded by the trainers to those who have overcome certain obstacles in their training or who have worked particularly hard to achieve something with their dog. Every person & every dog works their socks (& paws) off but sometimes there’s someone who puts that little bit more in and to see the... look of achievement on their face is so rewarding. We train YOU to train your dog at home - you do all the hard work- we just give you the tools to work with. So this year there will be 3 lucky recipients and these will be revealed as the trophies are presented. On Wednesday our first recipient was Michael with Hugo. Hugo is a typical boisterous Lab who is simply a puppy in a grown up body - at just a year old. Michael has had some VERY frustrating nights with Hugo but he has knuckled down and worked through it. Hats off to you Michael & Hugo, you really deserve this award. Michael is now working towards the KCGCDS Silver Award & has really been doing his homework with Hugo. Congratulations Michael & Hugo!
