Phoning 999 for trivial matters is a waste of resources and could possibly prevent a genuine life or death emergency call being put through. #MakeTheRightChoice

We have had two family members in Blackburn hospital this week. One receiving end of life care who was looked after with wonderful compassion and respect; the other in a and e after a nasty fall who received excellent emergency care despite it being extremely busy. The staff are clearly under pressure with a lack of space to put people but are absolutely fantastic. Thank you to every single member of staff we had contact with, you are all amazing

My son came was brought to hospital on Friday in a very bad way.. after falling ill on his residential trip in Shrewsbury a paramedic was called out and initially was thought he’d had an asthma attack. Once they thought he was stable they put him in the coach to come home.. once he reached home I could see he was in a bad way.. when he arrived at Blackburn hospital they saw to him right away!! Nebulisers, steroids and chest X-rays all done In a matter of minutes.. I stepped outside the room to inform family and on my return even more staff around my son all working hard and fast to save his life! He had in fact been given the diagnosis of diabetes type1 and gone into DKA a life threatening condition where acid goes into the blood! It all went so fast but once stabilised he was taken to the children’s high dependency unit where he received practically 2 to 1 care!! You fabulous human beings saved my sons life and if I could put you all up for an award I would.. not only did you save his life but the day after the staff who initially saw to him took time out their busy day to see how he was doing!! You are all amazing and I’ll be forever grateful

Can not thank all the staff on the children’s ward C at RBH enough for everything they have done to help my daughter get better. NHS staff do not get enough credit for all their hard work. A very fast paced and busy ward with lots of sick children to look after, children much more poorly than my own, but they made my daughter feel like she was their only patient and their main priority was helping her to get her better. Credit where credit is due, you guys were amazing, so sincerely thank you very very much

After a long and pretty stressful day on Ambulatory Care yesterday, it was lovely to be treated with kindness and consideration.

Paulette had seen me struggling to feed my very distracted baby in the waiting room, and she immediately got me a drink of water and found us a quiet room. It was very much appreciated, it really helps when people ‘get’ breastfeeding!

Thank you Paulette x
