East Sands Leisure Centre

My granddaughter and I tried to go for a swim at 2.30 p.m. on Sunday (the last of the school holidays) only to be turned away - they have swimming classes from 3 p.m. to closing time - in effect the facility is only open until 2.30 p.m. and NOT 5 p.m. as stated on this website :-( Most annoying as we had travelled miles to swim there. Therefore I would recommend that you check before going.

Average facility that is in need of serious investment. Changing rooms very grubby, cafe closed, locker keys all broken. Not an enjoyable family day out at all.

Friendly staff, well organised. I swim there every day, before breakfast.

A bit too small and equipment limited/broken. Since it's a small town I guess we don't have much choice! Staff are nice but some are just rude AF. Girl if you're having a bad day and at work, get a day off or just suck it up keep working. We customers are not your freaking parents we don't care what happens with your sad life.

Great for kids to go swimming. No cafe though and could be cleaner but good to keep kids entertained.

Not used the gym and other facilities but the swimming pool is bloody freezing

Quite small but good pool. Separate toddler pool.
