Booked in for an angel eye replacement bulb, was quoted a price as well as the duration it would take (30mins). I ended up waiting over 2 hours and when I asked why it was taking longer than originally quoted the staff failed to give me a proper answer.

I was then told that they did not replace the bulb due to an issue with the headlight unit. The service that I had received from the advisor was very dismissive and rude. When asked why my job was not completed and within the time frame quoted he had no answers for me apart from continuously reading out the notes left by the technician who worked on my car. the manner I was spoken to was as if he did not want to be dealing with me. It was only after he had spoken to my father on the phone he became more interested in helping me with my issue.

I was very skeptical about bringing my car to BMW and from the experience I had I won't be returning anytime soon.

The process of buying a car here was fairly straightforward. The after sales experience is horrific:
1) scratches and swirls were left literally all over my car after a complimentary wash. BMW refused to acknowledge this even though I have seen their bucket and sponge washing process in with my own eyes.
2) I brought my car in for a workshop repair after I across a issue with my car. It has been over 3 weeks since I have got my car back and. even after countless phone calls, BMW refuse to let me know what the problem was and what they did to fix it.

As much as I like BMWs, I would not buy my car here again unless I had a fetish for a bad aftersales experience.

Worst customer care I've had the misfortune to experience.
Charged for diagnostic work which failed to diagnose the fault and instead identified expensive functioning components to be replaced. To add insult to injury my car was damaged by Eastern while in their cars. Despite seeming to initially accept liability they now deny that they caused the damage and instead quoted me £1400 to repair damage that they caused.
Customer service is awful - avoid at all costs!

Mysteriously the review that I posted back in September has vanished. Could it be because I warned potential purchasers that the car I bought was an ex rental car registered to Scot Group Ltd, which is in fact Thrifty car hire. In spite of me asking for the history and reason for sale at a few months old the issue was skillfully avoided and so a nearly new BMW started its critical running in period in the hands of who know what kind of driver. Attempts to get redress were avoided at all turns by the company and they probably think it has gone away; it hasn't.

I would buy your used car from somewhere that is willing to tell you frankly and openly what you want to know. Autoexpress have an online article about this practice and my legal advice is in line with theirs. Trading Standards tell me that "remaining silent is not acceptable." Be very careful. Terry Tozer

Very unhelpful staff with a strange ability to never tell you the whole picture. Constant issues with eastern from the moment the order was placed including broken promises re delivery delays, registering the car incorrectly as a different model with DVLA, finance details sent to wrong address and Service & Sales departments telling different stories.

The product's quality is also questionable as BMW have taken to using 'Quality Enhancements' as a way of avoiding recalls - check out the N47 timing chain issue as a prime example.

EDIT Apr 2017
Have an email from the group MD threatening me with legal action for my reviews. Nice business to deal with.

We have had a couple of new cars from the dealership and recently had a problem with a request for warranty work. Scott n the service area was brilliant, he listened to what we had to say and everything he said would happen, did happen.

From the point of our making contact it was a pleasure to deal with Eastern and I would recommend anyone to give them a try.

Dealt with a nice man called Adrian. Everything that was meant to happen did happen when it was due to happen. Picked up new car and was well pleased with the service. Adrian phoned next day to ensure I was happy which I was. I will go back when it is time to change car again.

Caution. These people spam emailed me. I live in Spain. Have never been to Scotland, will never likely go there unless my plane is diverted. Why the **** is a BMW franchise spamming like this; they must be desparate for business. They claimed I enquired with them! Yeh, right, of course I did. Send me the enquiry I made! What, no reply?! BMW - is this really the kind of business you deal with??!! God help you Scotland and BMW.

I strongly advise avoiding this company. The cars are good, though the after sales is average at best. But by far the biggest problem is the appalling customer relations from the parts and service department. My worst experience was when they held onto my car for 3 days following a routine service, leaving me to have to rent a car to attend a funeral, entirely due to disorganisation in their office. Yet they left me to pick up the pieces and the additional expenses too. I will never use them again.
