About Eauc - Scotland

Supporting and sharing talent and experience on practical and academic sustainability within Further and Higher Education in Scotland

Eauc - Scotland Description

Welcome to the Facebook page for the EAUC-Scotland office!

The Scotland office of the EAUC was first opened in 2008, with it's main focus being to create stronger ties and better relationships between Scottish colleges, universities and stakeholders in the area of environment and sustainable development.

Funded through the Scottish Funding Council, the core work of the team centres around the Universities and Colleges Climate Commitment for Scotland (UCCCfS) Programme. As well as a formal commitment signed by the senior leaders of all Scottish further and higher institutions to address their climate impacts and risks, this includes:
- representing the further and higher education sector in a variety of forums throughout Scotland
- providing training courses and networking opportunities
- keeping everyone updated on current issues
- managing other projects to enhance sustainable development in Scottish institutions

Our three-person team are based at Queen Margaret University just outside of Edinburgh. Please get in touch with us if you would like to learn more about our work or get involved.
