Eco Energy For Domestic:Nondomestic Epcs

Eco Energy aim to install Insulation in your home in an effort to reduce the energy required to heat your home. This is in accordance with the Government Energy Company Obligation scheme (ECO)

Under the ECO scheme, there are two separate sections under which you can qualify;

Hard To Treat (HTT) 3 Story or Narrow Cavity:

Eco Energy are able to offer free Cavity Wall and Loft* insulation for all home owners and private tenants, no matter your age, income or benefit status, living in 3 storey flats or where the cavity is “narrow” by definition on any property type. *Lofts can only be done free of charge if you require cavity insulation.

Affordable Warmth Obligation (AWO):

People based on certain benefits will qualify for free loft, cavity or even a new boiler where required.
Those on Pension Credit, Child Tax Credit (income under £15, 860) automatically qualify. Those on Working Tax Credit, Employment and Support Allowance, Job Seekers Allowance or Income Support with additional combination benefits can qualify. You can quickly check with our surveyor to see if you qualify.

The Process:

An initial survey will be carried out by a surveyor from Eco Energy and passed to a regulated Installation company for completion of insulation works deemed appropriate by the surveyor and requested by the customer.
A secondary survey for an EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) is conducted before the installation and a copy of this will be forwarded to you, the customer and is also free of charge.
Cavity Wall Insulation will be completed using Thermabead Diamond (Bonded Bead) which is ideal for the weather conditions in Scotland. All Cavity wall insulation comes with a 25 year Guarantee from the Cavity Insulation Guarantee Agency (CIGA) which is posted directly to the customer or landlord usually within 3-6 months of cavity wall insulation being completed.

Loft insulation can be installed, using Rockwool, where your current insulation is at a depth of less than 150mm (6 inches), in which case the insulation will be increased to between 270mm and 300mm (11 to 12 inches) , using Rockwool, which is the current minimum standard set by the Government.
All information gathered is stored in compliance with the data protection act at all points of transition of the order.
