We visited as a group of 4, a few weeks ago and had a fantastic time. The location was fantastic, beautiful views in every direction. Perfect evenings for star gazing by the fire pit. Facilities were great, still had that camping feel but with heating which was much appreciated. We stayed in the romantic pods and really enjoyed it. They were homely and snug with super comfy beds and lovely decor.
Definitely recommend :)

Nice, quiet site. Perfect as a base-camp for venturing out, and being a quiet site after 9pm is really peaceful. Perfect for an evening with your personal firepit, watching the stars.
The staff are friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Wagon while friends stayed in a pod and eveything was organised, clean and equiped. The Bothy is a very useful social-come-kitchen area for genral use.

ECO in this case means 'pay more and get less'. Great location, camping pod was fine. Toilet/showers need updating. Only 1 female shower, 1 family shower and 1 unisex shower. Service is terrible, paid for scones and jam to be there on arrival but didn't receive them. Young people looking after the site were very friendly and tried hard to help but with limited English didn't know what I was asking for. Wouldn't stay here again

Fantastic break for us and dogs. Well kept camp, but you must do your bit to keep up standards. Basically, clean up your mess. Toilet/shower area cleaned regular. Everything in the bothy you require for cooking. Great place for walks, recommend bridge of Cally. Staff fantastic, can't wait to return to this hidden gem.

We had a lovely time. The Howff had fab views and was roomy and very cosy and had everything that we had forgotten to bring with nice finishing touches.as was the washrooms. It was also great that we could also bring our dog who enjoyed the walks and had fun in the snow.

Me and my partner stayed in the new Goods Wagon, not only is the setting beautiful, with the Cairngorms National Park barely a 10 minute drive up the road, but the interior decor is also beautiful. The wonderful touch of the old railway registrastion plate inside and the brief history of the wagon made it a really special stay.

The insulation in the wagon meant that the minute you got the stove lit the wagon warmed up and stayed wonderfully cosy for ages!

Simon and Fi have a truly wonderful little set up and I urge anybody to go and experience their little piece of paradise.

We had a wonderful weekend in this campsite. The huts are big and warm. The surrounding areas are perfect for walks in the nature and you can enjoy your holidays with your dog.

We have just spent a couple of nights in a wooden pod. The hosts made us and our dogs very welcome. The food they offer when you book is highly recommended. Cooked breakfast, cakes and scones, packed lunches and frozen food to be cooked on the fire pits. All very enjoyable. Much more civilised than camping under canvas or nylon or whatever. The pictures on their website let you know what to expect. The Bothy is small basic and functional. Any improvements to the toilet block would be welcome although it is perfectly functional. Pet welcoming and without crazy surcharges a nice novelty. A nice little dog walk onsite very pleasing too. We'll be back.

My husband and I paid 220pounds for a romantic tent for two nights and it was absolutely awful. We stayed one night and left early in the morning. The list of complaints I have is endless:
1) There was no WiFi anywhere.
2) The small, dirty, and unloved kitchen had ONE sink for all 30+ guests to wash dishes in.
3) Our "romantic tent" was right next to a huge family that stayed up yelling and chopping wood well past our intended bedtime.
4) The loud diesel farm tractors didn't stop running until almost midnight.
5) There were only a few communal showers for a HUGE number of people.
6) There was no coffee provided with breakfast. We would have had to start a fire to boil water and make our own coffee.

Needless to say, this was NOT romantic. It was NOT private. And I felt utterly taken advantage of by our hosts, who completely misrepresented their accommodations.
