Edgars Newsagents est 1983 for all your daily newspapers and vast selection of magazines and sweets. Hot and cold filled rolls freshly made to order.

A family business started initially with a mobile shop in 1973 before finally making our home in Buccleuch St in June 1982 .

As well as newspapers, hot and cold drinks and crisps we also have one of the biggest selections of weekly and monthly magazines in Dumfries town centre catering for "nearly" every interest . . .

To most people we are still best known for our freshly made hot and cold filled rolls, all at reasonable prices with a speed and turnaround that is second to none.

We now stock a large range of weigh out sweets in jars with old favourites such as Odd Fellows, Cherry Lips, Sweet Peanuts etc. Please feel free to come and browse our range.
