There for botanic lights :-) It was great, didnt get to cafe till 7.45 after getting in at 6.20pm. Glad we went early as we had plenty of time to take in the lights and atmosphere. The gardens in day light will look so different

Przepiękny

Uczta dla zmysłu wzroku i powonienia.

Chociaż byłam wczesną wiosną i nie dane mi było zobaczyć ogród podczas pełni kwitnienia i zazielenienia to warto było.

Palmiarnia dzika i gorąca.

Warto dodać, że cały ogród można zobaczyć za darmo, a bilet obowiązuje tylko do palmiarni i kosztuje niecałe 5 funtów.

Dla mnie 2h w tym ogrodzie to za mało.

Wrócę tam

Out for a run this morning, I entered the Edinburgh Botanic Gardens via the East Gate to be told that jogging wasn't allowed today, "lots of vehicles are moving about". After I’d checked it wasn't April 1st I expressed my surprise. The lady probably felt she had done her job and said that I could walk, so I walked until I was out of sight and then carried on jogging. I saw no people or vehicles until I reached the West Gate. I was hardly invisible in my bright yellow jacket, and as a runner I can move much faster than a slow walker (ban slow walking grannies?) also the streets outside are full of moving vehicles, and I had survived Dundas Street. We do need to protect the vulnerable in society but fit & healthy people should be able to take responsibility for their own safety. Is this 'health & safety' gone mad? I think so.

Nigdy wcześniej nie byłem w tak pięknym ogrodzie botanicznym.

Lovely gardens, wished we had had more time to explore, so peaceful and all the various shrubs etc were a joy to see. Would recommend a visit if you find yourself in Edinburgh, a great place to recharge your batteries.

Brilliant glass houses in a surrounded by a lovely park where you can walk and sit for free. The glass houses were of good size and had loads of interesting plants. There's a lot of bigger palms and such which puts it all in perspective brilliantly. the price is reasonable and if you're skinned you can buy a ticket without the donation, bringing it under a fiver to enter the houses. I especially loved the ponds and water features. I think the only thing that could improve it, is if they had a tree top walk. To go up on of the spiral stairs so you could walk along the side of one of the tropical rooms and look down over all of the plants and also see the top of the giants up close would be amazing.

Brilliant day out, lovely to walk around lots to see. I am very impressed that the park is free entry you just pay if you go around the glasshouses. Great place to take the kids for a day out and good café as well. Thoroughly recommend it if you are visiting Edinburgh.
