Wonderful Five Star Site

Wardens give you plenty of helpful information.

Lovely woodland dog walk on site and across the road plenty of walks to take you along the Promenade.

Frequent buses to Edinburgh City center

Nothing to not like....

We stayed here this weekend as a base for the Edinburgh Half Marathon and simply can't fault this site for camping. All the staff we bumped into were great, very very helpful and genuinely interested in making our stay enjoyable and nothing was too much trouble. Too many things to mentioned but it is a dog friendly site, the toilet/shower and washing up facilities were spot on and very clear as was the whole site in fairness. There is a cooking shelter if required and the camping area although continuously busy is not crammed as they only let a certain number of tents in at any one time so it's relaxed and private. The site is located a short walk to the beach (approx 10mins) and you can easily get the bus into the city for £1.60 (no.16). We walked all away along the beach to the casueway passing a seafront cafe, just to the left of the casueway is the Cramond Inn which is a nice dog/child friendly pub, we only has a quick snack but the food looked nice and the beer was spot on. The site office will charge any portable device and freeze ice packs for free. The site is well secured with random staff patrols, cctv and electronic access control to the main gates and toilets. There is also a nice children's play area which our 4 year old loved.

The only minor improvement could be a better stocked shop.

Although absolutely nothing to do with the caravan site but one thing to note is that the cars going down marina drive to the beach absolutely fly in a 30 zone so it could be a little off putting for young and older people.

One of the best sites we have been to and we will definitely be back without a doubt.

Staff perfect, site perfect, location perfect, facilities perfect.

You could not ask for more when visiting a City and Edinburgh is one beautiful City to visit.

Easy 5 minuets walk to bus stop and frequent even at weekends.

If you have some time don't miss seeing the Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies. Stunning.

User

Really nice site and people, we walked along the front one day. The next we walked over the Sands to Cramond Island when the tide went out, plenty time to see it before tide comes back in. Fantastic views you can glimpse the end bridges and the snow covered Pentland hills. Would come back the air noise didn't bother me I liked seeing the places do close.

User

Really impressed with this site, was far enough out of Edinburgh to miss the hustle and bustle of the city centre yet close enough to enjoy all Edinburgh has to offer, only a bus ride to city centre, wish we had more time to have stopped longer, definitely be returning in the future.

User

Our first visit to this site and one that we would definitely return to again. The staff were brilliant and the facilities were spotless. We had the worst week of weather but the site more than made up for it , brilliant buses and taxi into Edinburgh so didn't need to use the motor home at all.

User

Lovely site and amenities. Beautiful walk's,along the river and so near to the Edinburgh city. Lovely friendly helpful wardens too.

User

Lovely clean site. Staff all fabulous and helpful. A pity the bus stop is so far away. We found it too far to walk to the bus stop. The minibus would be better for us if it went further than Charlotte square.-again more walking. Had to use taxis. Not the fault of the site though! Would come again-if only to see the squirrels!

User

Loved it. Very friendly helpful staff and facilities were very clean. Easy access to lovely walks long the waterfront. Bus service into city centre good too. Supermarkets near by too. Only thing I'd do differently next time is stay at the back of the campsite ...we were near the road and cars were driving about early on...quieter at the back. Didn't find planes flying over annoying though. My dog loved being able to be let of the lead in the dog walking area. Would definitely go back again

User

Love visual Edinburgh caravan park I found an excuse to stay the past 3 nights as I was working in Edinburgh. It was great to be able to come back and go for a walk with my lovely dogs. Managed to stay until 4pm on departure date as working until 3pm. Site and staff excellent. Can't wait to come back

User

Love this site used to live 5mins away now half an hour away still work in Edinburgh but site still a favourite best dog walk of any site I've ever visited and you cannot beat the surrounding beauty spots will never ever tire of the stunning walks in the area

User

Fantastic site, beautifully looked after, toilets and showers clean and maintained to high standard - great for people with dogs as has own dog walk area as well as other walks around the site. Would stay again

User

Fantastic site - immaculately clean and excellent toddler shower and bathroom. Staff very friendly and helpful

User

Excellent site, freindly site staff, beautifully maintained pitches. Will deffo be using it again

User

Another lovely stay at Edinburgh. The staff here are lovely, very welcoming, cheery and friendly. Site is immaculate as usual. The new playpark is brilliant my kids (age 3 & 7) loved it.

The site is perfect for long walks along the beach and for visiting shops/city centre. Yes you can hear planes during the day but this is a major plus point for my kids who love seeing them come in so close and trying to be the first to name the airline. I have never been kept awake or been woken in morning by them. We look forward to visiting again soon.

User

Amazing location, excellent facilities, staff very friendly and site well maintained. Definitely return.

User

The site is very well kept and the wardens were lovely.Great location for the city and lovely walks along the promenade. I would have given 5 stars but for the un slightly rubbish and fly tipping on marine drive the approach road to the site not the caravan clubs fault but not nice to see

User

Like the site .... but some of the users don’t respect the rules of dogs on leads and picking up after them... my granddaughter got covered in dog mess. Dissapointing that some of the users don’t respect others and I have a dog so am not a hater of animals just disrespectful members I hate

User

An excellent, very busy site within a short bus ride to the city centre.

The facilities are typical Caravan Club standard, the site is very well maintained and is very attractive.

As a Motorhome owner, I would have said the site would be excellent if it had better grey waste disposal points. Come on Caravan & Motorhome Club, you can spend all the money rebranding and not change the solid covers over the M/H manholes
