Virgin Money Fireworks Concert, this Monday marks the end to the Edinburgh International Festival
Set against the iconic backdrop of Edinburgh Castle, the concert brings together stirring orchestral music from the Scottish Chamber Orchestra with thousands of magnificent fireworks

The Grassmarket is so-called because it was the city’s main marketplace in the 15th century, with the principal stock-in-trade involving cattle and horses. So it stands to reason that with so much livestock around, it could start to resemble more of a farm than a city.

The Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival has begun, and like every year, they host the Mardi Gras, which is a great afternoon of free music on Grassmarket. Even better, there's often plenty of great music that's perfect for some swing dancing! So if you're free and itching to boogie the afternoon away, then join in on the festivities! A few swing folk will definitely be lurking about, waiting to be asked to dance!
