What makes Edinburgh Gin Special?

Each and every bottle of Edinburgh Gin is produced using traditional methods and botanicals in our very own Edinburgh Gin Distillery.

Distilling in Flora and Caledonia, our custom made stills, we rectify together the finest grain spirit with Scottish Botanicals such as juniper berries, milk thistle, pine and heather using a recipe that faithfully replicates gin made in the city 250 years ago.

Edinburgh Gin is produced in small batches, ensuring that only the finest quality ingredients are used to produce a refreshing, clean, crisp flavour. The Classic Edinburgh Gin is 43% ABV not 37. 5% ABV, ensuring its premium status.

Our current range also includes our Seaside Gin, Navy Strength Cannonball Gin as well as our gin liqueurs: Raspberry, Elderflower, Rhubarb & Ginger and Plum & Vanilla. We also product special limited edition gins including our Valentine's Gin and Christmas Gin.

The 1920's are remembered as gin's Golden era and, in keeping with that theme, our Edinburgh Gin packaging has an art deco feel that reflects this wonderful time of cocktail parties and sophisticated libations!

Our Edinburgh Gin Distillery at 1A Rutland Place is a centre of excellence and innovation.

Not only do we distill and bottle our range there, but we also offer you the chance to visit the premises where Edinburgh Gin is made, and even create your own unique gin to take home. Find out more at:

Yesterday Lisa (my daughter ) and I had a lovely afternoon making gin with James our guide and a lovely couple from Derby .

Very informative and it was exciting to pick our own botanicals to put in our exclusive gin .

Then we had a talk about the history of gin making and went in to the still room to see the gin making .

The best bit was going back to the room where our gins were been distilled . All individual.

We tasted quite a few of the gins on offer with a chat about each one .

A wonderful day with very good company .

I will certainly recommend it .

Very unique experience with a comfy and friendly atmosphere .

Wonderful array of Gins, the guy in the shop was very knowledgable and if anything, it was a bit overwhelming in terms of choice and information given. Great to see lots of different Gins and to try them too.

What a brilliant way to spend a Monday morning. Listened to the lovely Jenny explaining the history of gin and how it is made, followed by some samples of the best (in my humble opinion)gin Scotland has to offer. Here’s to many more child free days!

Was given the Edinburgh Gin tour as a birthday present and went along on 18th. Terrific afternoon. Excellent guide, Paul, with lots of historical information, info on the botanicals used and who knew the stills are called "she"? Lots of tasters helped identify preferences.. And finally a lovely group of people from Biggar, West Lothian, Fife and Ireland. Thank you Edinburgh Gin - and thanks to my family for the gift.

Our visit to Edinburgh gin was a Christmas gift from our daughter & family.

We had no idea what to expect however we had the best time tasting and blending our own gin. We would highly recommend Edinburgh gin for a great experience and we have already discussed returning to blend other gins.

I’m sorry I cannot recall our ‘teachets’ Name, she was an American young lady who had great patience with us.
