This is such a great place for breakfast! It was absolutely reasonably priced and very yummy. The selection is also lovely.

Had lunch here very comfortable you can see right into the kitchen. The food is soo fresh and the music was great. I had the lamb burger which was AMAZING. Very reasonably priced.

Went for breakfast with two others. Long wait outside, but eventually getting a nice seat inside.

Good selection of food. I had a nice vegetarian full breakfast, and my sisters both had scrambled eggs with smoked salmon on toast.

My breakfast was good, but the eggs were very dry and over cooked.

Had a great chai latte though.

Might go back again.

This place was horrid. Are you kidding me? They had the most apathetic and lackluster service I've ever received. I had high hopes after hearing about them and seeing pictures online. They seated me with another party, which is fine, but they didn't set my table and didn't bring me water or any of the other services I watched them perform for the other diners. The full breakfast disappointed me the most. My egg came out completely mangled and overcooked with the yolk completely solidified, the bacon was extremely chewy, the beans bland and inedible. What a horrible waste of money. I am not usually fussy about my meals but I'm utterly disgusted by my experience here.

Friendly, attentive staff, Ryan served us. Delicious food... The tasting plates, sausage roll, frittata, soups and salads were fresh and flavoursome, and scones with the best clotted cream and jam I've ever had. Excellent music coming from the kitchen. The condiments tipped it over to make it an excellent experience. Well worth a wait.

They misplaced our (rather large) booking for which we had paid a deposit for. When I showed them the payment receipt they looked confused and annoyed that they had to fit us in.
The food was ok overall (though nothing special), but my mushrooms were so salty I couldn't eat them, my sausages were burnt and I had a potato which was completely charred and rock solid. When I pointed it out they just gave me a fed up look and took the plate away...

Great place to pick up a quick bite. We went for a breakfast bap and sat in the deli part. Everything was cooked from scratch. I had sausage and haggis with a coffee which was awesome, we wish we would have gone again.

Excellent service & food quality. The full larder breakfast is VERY filling - don't say I didn't warn you! Love the black pudding & tattie scone & bacon & bread. .. yums!

The place is nicely decorated and the staff has been very kind. Prices are fair (7-14 pounds) given its great position on the royal mile and that the portions were very abundant.

Food quality is excellent, organic ingredients from Scotland, the recipes are delicious.

I would totally recommend it.

Edit:
Since I loved the lunch I also came back to try the typical Scottish Breakfast the following day, awesomely delicious.
