Just to clarify, there is an error in the times for 1/2day courses during Easter holidays. It should say 10am-1pm. The times are correct in the booking system and confirmation email.

went the hour hack today with ny friend was amazing! is definitely THE best hack I've done in scotland! safe as houses horses but not your typical plod alongs either. will definitely come back to do the 2 hour hack next time!! xxx

Yesterday was my first day riding a horse as I was given a voucher after years of wanting to ride a horse. I loved every minute of it and even considering getting more lessons to build on technique and confidence. The staff were amazing and very patient. An amazing experience and recommended to anyone to go along there.

What a pleasant surprise this riding school is. Katie is a good coach who gives everyone some personal attention that's relevant to them, irrespective of their level... I rode Marco - he'll be a treat to anyone who's been an advanced rider at some stage of the game, will suss you out in the beginning, but quickly becomes surprisingly responsive for a riding school horse. Lovely and light in the mouth too.

Went on Sunday for my first ever lesson ( I'm a late starter lol) - I was genuinely petrified but the staff, instructor and of course the beautiful Marco ( horse) that had to put up with me were all amazing - my right knee seized up near the end but that's my fault- hopefully I will be back for more lessons as I had an amazing experience

Such a great experience as a first time rider! Our instructor was very encouraging, and helped to get everyone's confidence up as we learned the basics. I hope to return again for more lessons.

My daughter went to the riding centre yesterday as 1 of her birthday gifts. She had a great time & is definitely wanting to come back. Staff & horses were great with her as she was a little nervous to start with but staff reassured her and was soon at total ease. Thank you!

My 7yr old daughter had a lesson that was purchased for her birthday on Sunday and was paired up with snoopy. Such a lovely day sun shining. Would like to thank the staff who were great with Heidi and have so much patience. She was very excited about this and would like to return thanks lasswade riding school.

I love riding here, they have helped me improve my riding so much in such a short space of time and the treks are amazing going through the river and up the woods - so beautiful

I learned to ride here 35 years ago when it was owned by the Becks. It hasn't changed much at all, with the exception of a wee cafe which does fab bacon rolls! My daughter has now started here and I can see an improvement in her confidence and technique already after only a couple of lessons. Some riding schools hold kids back a bit but I can't see that happening here. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and the instructor is fabulous and encourages the kids to challenge themselves. We are now attending weekly and I'll book some lessons for my rusty old self after losing my confidence about 10 years ago. Looking forward to it! Highly recommended.

Have had family members booked for common ridings before but this was a first for me. Couldn't fault the horse I was matched to. Beautifully turned out and cant wait for Flodden now. Indie is now top of my xmas list. Massive thank you :)

Had the experience of the fabulous Hero for Torwoodlee ride out 28 /6/2017 loved every moment. Superstar of boy very safe looking forward to next year ’┐Į Hugo was by Hero's side all the way round lovely boys. Thanks again x

Had my daughters birthday party here. The staff were great they spent time reassuring kids who were unsure and knew exactly what ponies suited what child. All the kids had a great time. Can't recommend them enough x

Had a lesson today at 1pm. Absolutely loved it! I was on a stunning horse called Gem. I came out feeling like I had really learned a lot. Horses where beautiful and the instructor was brilliant! Hoping to come back and do more lessons with her, so if you could pass on her name that would be great. Felt safe and at ease the whole time. Although it started late, they kept us on longer to make up for it. Only bit of feedback is it would have been nice to get a feedback at the end, on what I needed to do better but apart from that great job guys!

Can't recommend enough! In February of this year at the age of 39 I set myself the challenge of doing the Peebles Beltane Common Ride in June, having never been on a horse to speak of. The staff are all highly experienced and have always matched me to an appropriate horse for for the level I was riding at. The horses themselves are fit and really well cared for and there's something for everyone. If you are learning, the instructors work you hard but also very much at a pace that you are comfortable with. I completed the rideout on 17th June without any nerves, or any incidents and it was awesome! Not bad for only 5 months on from first sitting on a horse. Am now addicted to this pastime and will continue to be a regular customer at Lasswade - roll on Beltane 2016! Thanks everyone at Lasswade for your expertise, knowledge and enthusiasm in helping me achieve my goal!

Beautiful horses ­¤É┤ me and my daughter went for lesson and it was well explained with patience. Plus it was the first time my daughter got on to a horse and the staff were brilliant.

An old fashioned yard: straight forward, simple, with several horses for everyone's tastes and experience, and support by the bucketload be you a happy hacker or a BSJA competitor. They also have some of the fittest and most impressive horses in all the Common Rides available to hire! I could not have been happier with my choice of yard after moving to Edinburgh: I am eternally grateful for you opening up the Common Riding chapter in my riding :)

My daughter and I had thoroughly enjoyed our lesson with Isobel. She is fantastic and so encouraging, she is the reason we will be def be back. The whole process of booking in etc isn't the best and the ladies abrupt manner is slightly off putting and there were a number of very unhappy customers incl us until we got in the saddle and Isobel took over.

Had a very enjoyable Trek (ride out in walk & trot), lead by Susan, who also pointed out the nice view from the viaduct over the valley, took pictures of us and shoed us out which way we've come (it was much longer than we'd thought!). Enjoyed and got another step into getting my confidence back on horse back. Hope to be able to repeat this experience again. Would prefer to wear high-viz next time though.

Great memories from when I was 45 years younger :( there are more horses now and obviously more stables and lots going on such as kids birthday party's great for the kids to get used to the horses when they are so young I have popped in a couple of times with my grandchildren and everyone one so nice when we arrived I asked the lady/.head groom sorry don't know her name if it was ok to look round and she kindly said yes so will go back again when the kids get a little older :)
