Edinburgh Marriott Hotel

Had a super stay here! All the staff were so friendly and attentive making you feel like you actually mattered to them! Hotel in a great location to get to various tourist hot spots. We stayed in a deluxe room with sofa bed to accommodate us and the two kids. Was really clean and spacious. Pool was lovely and again the staff went above and beyond to help us. Would highly recommend.

Hotel well located. 10min from the airport. It is easy to find a bus to go to the city center. Rooms are nice. The only negative point is the appearance : for the price I think it looks a bit old fashioned. But it was ok however

Easy location for the airport and about 20 minutes into the City by car. The surrounding area is a maxture of roads and houses so don't expect wonderful views! Rooms are spacious, food is good and staff area friendly so all in all its recommend it as an option outside of the city.

I expected a lot more. The restaurant is the best thing about this property. Great breakfast. It's difficult to articulate but given the brand & cost, the rooms, customer service, fitness center, interior & exterior styling and pool/spa facilities really should have been better.

I won't be returning.

Rooms were big lovely and clean. Tea/ coffee facilities in room also a fridge.
Staff always around to help. Spent the afternoon In the pool. Good selection of breakfast .
Shops right next door . Also tram to take you into city..
Chip shop.chinese.mcdonalds etc along the road
We had a great time from start to finish....We spent one night here and we will definitely be back again.

The rooms are nice but what let this place down is the location. Recommended if you have business around the west side of Edinburgh otherwise far from the city centre. Friendly staff +gym

Attended a work function. Staff were quick and efficient. Enjoyed the atmosphere and the service. Good fun and definitely would use them again.

Attended a property auction in one of the function rooms of the hotel. There was plenty of parking space and we registered the car's number plate which enabled us to have 8 hours of free parking. The function room was clean and well laid out and the auctioneer had a PA system which enabled everyone to clearly hear exactly what was being bid. Centrally located on a busy main road, the hotel is ideally sited for all business and pleasure events.

This hotel is comfortable with clean average size rooms. The bed linen is lovely but the renowned Marriott mattresses are in need of replacement. The windows open a tiny amount for a little fresh air but they are very tired secondary glazed windows which allow some draft through and need replacing. Another draw back of this secondary glazing is that on occasion the little view you have from the window is obscured by the white window misting up. The hotel has a restaurant and bar. The bar food is adequate but if you're visiting and doing activities in the city center you are probably better off eating in the city center instead of the hotel as it is a bit more expensive. There is a pool although I've never used it. The gym is large for a hotel gym, setting and many are opting for useless fitness rooms with a handful of weights. Here they have a range of cardio machines and weight machines along with free weights so any gym fabric should be able to do a decent work out. The staff are friendly although don't call housekeeping during the day and expect an answer. I tried five times before the line rang off. I called reception for the items I needed instead and they were less than pleased to take my call. The items arrived quickly though. In summary it does what you'd expect from a Marriott although it is tired.
