Edinburgh Napier product design student, Beatriz Carvalho, has developed a unique wristband that aims to tackle harassment in nightclubs and keep the wearer safe. 💡
The wristband is linked to an app, which friends can join together through before going on a night out.
Beatriz, who is in her final year, will be exhibiting her work at the #EdNapierDegreeShow alongside hundreds of others at the University’s Merchiston campus until 24 May.

“Climate Crisis – what should Edinburgh Napier University do?”
Mark Huxham in our School of Applied Sciences is hosting an event at Craiglockhart next week to discuss this vital subject. Students and staff are invited to attend the 30 minute Lightning Talk, with the discussions feeding into the University’s future strategy. The event starts at 4.30pm on Thursday May 9 in the Lindsay Stewart Lecture Theatre. No need to register – just come along.

Are you fully protected from measles? Measles is increasing within the UK and across Europe.
Make sure you are fully protected with two MMR vaccines before you go on holiday this summer or to any music festivals. NHS Lothian advise that most students will have received two doses of MMR (measles/mumps/ rubella) vaccination, which offers the best protection.
