Edinburgh Photography Guide is a free app due to launch in September 2015. It provides free 'quick tours' which you can explore from your phone (Apple and Android) or you can build a 'custom tour' from a list of over 80 attractions.

It provides weather forecast, general tips for making the most of your visit to Edinburgh and some links to other services which may be of interest.

There will be a version costing 99p which allows you to build additional custom tours and gives access to camera setting advice.
