Welcome to the Edinburgh Student Arts Festival.

The inaugural Edinburgh Student Arts Festival (ESAF) is Edinburgh’s first city-wide student arts festival that brings together five higher education and further education institutions across the city. This student led festival will take place across 4 different venues, across a seven day period, showcasing the work of over 250 students.

We aim to examine art in the broadest term and provide a platform for all students in our festival city. Artists, performers, speakers and practitioners are displaying their art in a collaborative and open environment that is inclusive of all members of our student and local communities. We believe art, in all interpretations of the word, should be open and accessible to every member of the community in our festival city. By encompassing art in the widest form, from performance and visual art to music and dance, we hope to establish ESAF as part of the Edinburgh festival repertoire as an annual event.

Our purpose is to examine how creativity expression defines us and influences our sense of the world!
