Edinburgh Sustainable Projects Abroad

ESPA is a student-led society at the University of Edinburgh, currently paired with Global Brigades and MEDLIFE. Our goal is to provide volunteer opportunities which currently focus on delivering sustainable health and development solutions, in addition to educating and supporting human rights in under-resourced communities worldwide. At present all our volunteer trips take place in Central and South America. The society holds fundraisers throughout the year to raise awareness of the two great charities we are currently working alongside- Global Brigades and MEDLIFE. Additionally we have monthly educational sessions to prepare our volunteers for their in-country experiences. We were previously known as Medical Aid International Society.
