The fantastic parents, children and staff from Crewe Road Nursery have raised an incredible ┬Ż440 towards trips and activities over the summer for the children we support! These activities can play a crucial part in the journey to recovery, helping children regain confidence, independence and providing time away to have fun and make new friends. Thank you so much to everyone at Greenbank Parish Church, Edinburgh who raised over ┬Ż2,700 from their Easter Appeal to support local women affected by domestic abuse to gain financial independence. Economic abuse (where the perpetrator controls their partner by controlling finances) can be what keeps a woman and her children trapped in a harmful relationship. The employability project run by Edinburgh Women's Aid and Shakti Women's Aid that Greenbank Parish Church are supporting will help women in Edinburgh to become more economically independent, helping to improve their lives and their children's lives and enabling them to move on from an abusive relationship.
