Fantastic salon offering both hair and makeup services. Up to date on modern styles and techniques as well as classic looks too. The team are friendly and welcoming and the salon has a lovely relaxing vibe. Highly recommended!

Beautiful salon with highly skilled staff who clearly keep up to date with the latest trends. I was very impressed with the full awards shelf including BHA Scottish Hairdresser of the Year cementing the fact that this is the place to be. I love that they advise what style suits you rather than just doing what you ask. Will definitely be back.

I have been to ego a few times and met all the wonderful staff. The salon it self is set out lovely and the decor is stylish and modern. The staff are all welcoming and Caroline who owns the salon is lovely... she didn't win Scottish hairdresser of the year for nothing... I recommend this salon highly not only for their amazing skills bit also the great offers they do. They have a price for everyone. Defo worth a visit.

The staff were nice and it's a very funky salon but really disappointed in my hair cut, stylist didn't even offer to trim my fringe and ask how I normally style it. The colour is precisely the kind of caramal/blonde that I said I didn't really want. It doesn't even really look much different which would be fine for some but I specifically said I wanted a change! The colour expert knew it wasn't very good when she saw it because she said "it may lighten when you wash it"
They did offer to do it again if I went back within the first week. Clearly they don't have working partners and children because it was difficult enough to get one afternoon off to get my hair done never mind another afternoon off a week after!! But really, after paying that amount of £££ I expect it to be correct the first time round!
No one even asked if I had done the skin test provided to check there was no reaction, they never even asked for the consent form to keep on file.

I only went to this salon once, but I loved how they took care of me and my hair! I don't normally have my hair washed at the salon, but my hair was feeling really dry and my hairdresser recommended I have a shampoo and conditioner treatment. The young lady not only applied the L'Oreal products, she gave my a wonderful relaxing head massage. She left the conditioner in about 15 minutes. After my haircut, my hairdresser applied L'Oreal Tender and Bouncy to tame and condition my curly hair. I ended up buying this product on her recommendation. I love it. Thank you Ego Hair Design! I had to return to the U.S. and didn't have an opportunity to return.

I went in and explaind i had an hour and a half to spare it was a saturday and there was someone in getting her make up done which she had just finished she explained she had to tong her hair into curls and put a hair peice in i waited for an hour and had to go ,there was no way they could have done a , wash and blow dry in 20 minutes they were very slow,
wasnt the word the woman could gave washed my hair and had me ready but just sat on the computer maybe she just does the make up but after waiting so long i had had enough the lady was really nice but if it had taken so long to tong a short haired girl no way could i gave had a cut and blow and she had told me because it was it was a bob i couldnt have it done without having my hair washed ???? Wont b back

I first went to Ego about 2 years ago and haven't been anywhere else - leaving would be like having an affair. Somehow the stylists seem to be able to interpret incoherent hand waving and vague noises about doing 'something with my hair' into a great result. It is just a lovely place to be.
