Eigg Box

Eigg Box works with other organisations, both on and off Eigg, to promote & support Eigg-based creative businesses & visiting artists on residencies.

Eigg Box was set up to address:
• Isolation, as experienced by artists and those working in the creative industries, from each other and from the wider creative community
• Difficulty in accessing markets & the opportunities of collective promotion
• Difficulty in accessing training and continuing professional development, locally
• A need to diversify Eigg’s economy and capitalise on the skills and creative talent of those who already live on Eigg, or who might come and live here.
• Lack of suitable workspace for (mainly) creative businesses & artists
