Good inter-club sparring with both Insch and HBA boxers getting the rounds in 🥊

User

A big thanks to Douglas Nevins who as well as preparing several of our boxers for the Scottish Opens with their S&C needs took a class on getting out of clinches and weight transferal. As every boxer knows sometimes it gets messy in there and hopefully this will give the boxers one more tool to use🥊💪🥇

Connor McPhee adds the 69kg youth Scottish Intermediate Champion to his Novices title in a fantastic display of boxing. After a very close first round Connor knew he had to dig in deep and took the second round. In the 3rd it was all to play for and despite a gutsy performance from his Kirkintilloch opponent Connor produced 2 standing count which rightly so earned him a unanimous decision 🥊🥇

User

Connor McPhee weighed in and ready to box. Will put on times of his Bout once the draw is done 🥇🥊

It’s actually this Wednesday (the 9 Jan not the 10th) that the first class starts. So if you have contacted us or are interested in learning how to box and get fit come down. ( strictly no parking outside the club) 👍

2018 was a cracking year for the club. We had our first ever boxer -Megan Gordon -competing in the Commonwealth games. Our first open class heavyweight champion in Scott Edwards. We had several Intermediate and Novice champions as well as Andrew Smart starting his journey in the Pro ranks. We started our successful female only boxing class as well as the normal sessions and Friday fitness class being as popular as ever🥊.Well done to all the boxers, coaches and officials who make the club what it is and here’s to a successful 2019

New class starting in 2019🥊

What better way to get rid of the January blues than hitting stuff and sweating out the tin of Quality Street you just couldn’t put down 🤷‍♂️ Message to book your place as they go fast 🥊

So impressed with the ladies tonight in the final class of the year. In the past 6 weeks they have perfected the Jab, the back hand, straight punches to the body, lead hook, rear upper cut, 2 defence moves as well as requesting to do numerous press ups😉 Would also like to thank Coaches Iain Goldie and Jason for their help👍 Next class will start 14 Jan please PM if interested 🥊

Two page spread in 1 paper about our home show, then an article about Fraser Edwards success in another 🥊

User

Well our Novice boxers started their training in August and finally last night Fraser Edwards became the Scottish 69kg Champion🥇 Against Andrew Gonet from Sterling BC this was a battle where both boxers enjoyed successful parts of the fight but in the end Frasers work rate and cleaner punches ensured he got his hand raised. Out of the 5 boxers we took to the championships we came back with 3 golds and one silver. So a big well done to all at the club that made this possible from the boxers themselves to the coaches, officials and everyone involved with the Elgin BC🥊

User

Fraser Edwards weighed in and ready to box in the Scottish 69kg Novice Championships.
