Another round of incredible experiences for the lads, cheeky update whilst I have internet before we head out again. The lads played their first games at the terrific Paderborn Utd facilities nearby. Winning both games comfortably to prepare themselves for their first tournament.
Yesterday the lads proved their fitness, both mentally and physically as they were put through the army fitness test by a gentleman from the parachute regiment. Posting impressive times in their mile and a half run (some doing it under 9 minutes!)
Then the lads visited one of the infantry regiments and had a brilliant time pestering the obliging infantrymen with all manner of questions.
Incredible start of our first day proper. An interesting insight into the day to day nature of life in a cavalry regiment.
Visiting the Queens Royal Hussars, a training session on the simulators, a hands on experience of the real thing, a lecture on the structure and purpose of the regiment and a trip round the museum and officers messes.
Time for lunch!
Last wee blast of my data before we take off! We're on our way! Thanks again to everyone who helped make this trip possible.
Auf Wiedersehen!
In only a couple of hours, the lads will embark on the day long journey to Paderborn, all kitted up in their brand new Pendle teamwear.
This trip wouldn't have been possible without all the support we've recieved from local businesses, and the community as a whole.
A2B Cabs, LCTG, Woodcenter, Moneywise Mortages, Plans Plus, Peter Mitchell & Sons, H&M Hydraulics. Alexander Wallace Toyota, and CP Electrical
... With the support of these local businesses, the squad have been equipped with an impressive supply of kit to make them stand out among the crowds on their journey, and dazzle their opponents on the pitch
