But I’ve still been hard at work, with this year being the busiest yet. I’ve welcomed a new team member to Ella Mai, my wonderful husband Mark. I think we can all agree - Scotland is stunning. There is no doubt that the Scottish scenery is something magical, no matter where in the country you are. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I recently had someone ask “there are so many beautiful places in Scotland, how do people decide WHERE to have their ceremony?!” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Well, my friend it is a tough choice, I’m not gonna lie! From the iconic mountains of Glen Coe that look like real-life paintings to the unworldly beauty of Isle of Skye, to the mind blowing landscape of the Highlands there is no shortage of epic ceremony places! And yet there is so much more to Scotland then meets the eye. There are white sandy beaches with palm trees (yep...palm trees!), lochs, rivers, woodlands, forests, castles, castle ruins, cities, towns and villages with SO. Many. Possibilities. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ So how DO you decide where the perfect spot is for you?! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ This is where a wedding planner or photographer comes in handy, they’ve been to A LOT of different locations, seen them first hand and have lots of advice surrounding them. For instance, Glen Coe is beautiful but depending on the time of year/time of day, it is packed with tourists so you may not have the complete intimacy you were after. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The way I help my couples choose is by getting to know their likes/dislikes. I get them to describe their perfect day and what it LOOKS like. Then, I handpick 5 locations that I think would suit them best and we go from there. I find that if there is too much choice, it can be too overwhelming/daunting - as you just want to go to them all!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Do you need help narrowing down your search of THAT epic ceremony location? It’s my favourite show that I watch over and over again, it never gets old! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⚡️I don’t drink tea or coffee or alcohol. People think I’m weird for it but I can’t stand the taste 🤷‍♀️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⚡️Music is a huge part of my life. Whenever I need a lift, chill time or just a good sing to get me ready for the day, music is ON. I’m always changing my favourite band but the ones that I will ALWAYS listen to are ‘A Day To Remember’ or ‘You Me At Six’. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⚡️Emotionally I feel things really deeply. I can pick up on others emotions which can be a good thing and a bad thing! I just want everyone to be happy the way they are and to feel love, especially all the animals. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⚡️I LOVE to laugh and have a joke and smile way too much.
