Elyssa Vulpes Music Description

Inspired by 70s Psychedelic British folk ballads and the Italian singer songwriter tradition, Elyssa Vulpes started out in 1993 writing folk noir ballads which evolved in the solo concept album "La Spirale".

After putting together "The Moon Whispers" in Wellington, New Zealand sh released her first Goth influenced EP and later on recorded the unreleased album "Sweet Bitter Enemy".

As a side project she also collaborated with electronic music artists and produced "Dance Your Pain Away" with Amy McBridge and The Upbeats as well as "Existence" with Bruce Jamieson.

Before moving away from New Zealand in 2009 she recorded and released the studio album "Pearl of Blood" which is a collection of folk noir ballads with a melancholic feel.

After moving to Italy for a year she collaborated with Arjen Schippers, an electronic music composer with whom she released an atmospheric experimental ambient album under the name Mjuk.

In Scotland she formed the band "The Betes Noires" which then became "Red Fox" and worked on one woman show musical comedy "Front Line" which premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe Show 2016.

Elyssa has three new albums in the works and is also a drummer.
