About Enamay Photography

EnaMay Photography specialises in wedding, family & newborn photography. Becky's is creative, relaxed and natural.

Enamay Photography Description

I am happiest with my camera by my side, whether it’s working on a wedding shoot or walking in the hills with my children. Engagement shoots, weddings, children, family and animal portraits or landscapes; I am passionate about creating photos that perfectly capture your memories.
EnaMay is a photography business that was formed in August 2012 and is named after my children – my daughter Ena and my son Ruaridh who was born in May. It’s since having my children that I was able to start turning my passion into my business. Raised on the Isle of Mull and now living the outdoor life in a small Scottish Borders town, I can often be found walking in the hills with my family including our dog Fingal. If you’re looking for an enthusiastic, creative and honest photographer then please get in touch.

The sun is shining and it is still warm - who doesn't love this weather?! 🌞😍🌞😍
I'm catching up on personal projects this week and if you haven't noticed sharing a bit more about me on here. I'm not really one to talk about myself but at the end of the day, you guys are buying me so you need to know me, right?!
I'm trying to take more photographs of my family as I don't and to be quiet frank it's shit. I have my camera ready to hand all the time and when we went to Oban recent...ly I saw this unfolding... Ena and her cousin, Aria. Just doing a spot of colouring. Love this so much. <3.

I've had a lovey few days away from social media, celebrating our anniversary and spending some time together before my May and June go crazy. We have been pottering about in the garden, tidying things up, sowing veggies seeds and making planter for my wysteria. Last year we re-jigged the garden about it bit so hopefully it's going to be a pleasant surprise on what comes up. <3
Six years married and almost fifteen years together seems to have flown by. We are still the same ...just a few more wrinkles..
Charlie and I, taken by Ena, excuse my massive hand! 😂

So after a impromptu shoot at Traquair for a florist friend of mine - any guesses whom?! I couldn't go to Traquair House with out popping in to see the second best sewist in the world, (first is obviously my mum!!). Jules, owner and chief sewing machine worker at Rudi & Co. moved into her new studio last week and it is amazing. I strongly recommend you popping in and buying her lovely products.

This smiley face means a shitload to me. I don't see her very often or hear from her all that much but that's because we live 3 hours apart and life is life. I do know that when we do catch up, grasping that hour for a coffee before we crack on with appointments, kids, etc. We put the worlds to rights and laugh so hard until we cry. Life's journey has made our paths cross a little closer of late and I feel that it's made us closer, something that I'm not going to let go of.... Whilst up on a flying visit to Oban she asked me to take some head shots for her new business venture Core Pilates Oban. Why not pop on over and give her page a wee like? :)
Jennifer, you are an amazing person and I love you to bits. I know that your new venture will thrive, I know how passionate you are about helping others and your pilates.
Oh and I'm still waiting my Sunday phone call... !🤣

It's been a week since I last posted on Facebook and to be honest it has been refreshingly nice to be away!
I have had a lovely week off with the family and now I'm tackling a 'to-do' list that is as long as my arm. All you guys waiting on emails, I will reply to you this morning. :D I have had a few days up in Oban meeting one of my June couples at the beautiful Isle of Eriska Hotel, Spa & Island where they are getting married, such a stunning venue and I'm really looking f...orward to it. I also had lovely toddler cuddles from my niece and caught up with my friends.
Some important news for you all...
I am now CLOSING my diary from 18th May, all of June and the start of July, re opening on the 15th July. If you want to book in a Welcome to the World Session please get in touch asap.
Happy Monday!!
Couldn't resist this wee one - her sessions just beautiful, <3 x Beth and Jason

I do love it when the kids are on holiday and hubby is off too, meaning I can go to the studio and have a WHOLE day in here getting jobs done. The holidays are hard work but I'm lucky that my kids are now that bit older and the apron strings are lengthening, allowing them to be more independent. I do know how hard it is though, juggling mummy hood, a house and a business, finding that work/life balance is pretty darn hard. So, how do you all do it? Any tips/tricks that you... want to share? I find a good network of friends has really helped me out. Especially when they kids get on like these two do.
Friends since the womb, independent, funny, kind and caring. Always giggling together - so much so that you have to whistle and go crossed eyed at the same time. Just. Too. Funny. <3

Hello, hi!
It's Sunday morning and my head is on overdrive.
I have two questions to ask you all, hopefully you wouldn't mind answering?
... What do Social Media Platform do you use the most...
If you use others, what do you use? Pinterest, Bebo (is that still a thing?), Snapchat, etc?
Have an awesome Sunday, thanks guys!

Another thing I took away from the Photography Farm was to photograph my family more. I hate to admit it but I really don't do it enough. *hangs head in shame*
So yesterday I got Ruaridh to hang out with me for half an hour. He is almost a teenager (birthday is in May) and the infamous 'Perry' has emerged so trying to spend any time with him sees to be a hassle. That said, when there are no screens and it's one to one you manage to get something like this. Shaping up to be a... handsome, sensitive soul with a wicked sense of humour. <3

As wedding season is almost upon me, I have limited availability for my 'Welcome to the World Sessions'. If you are thinking about a session for yourself or as a gift, please get in touch sooner rather than later. Time is precious and they grow so quickly, I would hate for you to miss out. :)

Good morning FB friends! I feel like I'm up with the birds this morning or is that just with the clocks changing?!
I have had an epic few days over in Glasgow at the @Photography Farm meeting old friends and making new ones. I had an amazing session with Jennifer Moher and Jim Pollard, if you don't know who they are go and check them out!
I am so lucky to be apart of an amazing community of fellow creatives. It's tough being self employed and sometimes you are surrounded by o...ther photographers who are amazing at their work, you feel down and that little voice comes out to tell you how shite you are at your job but it's all about how you react to it. Do you beat yourself up and think negative about your work, compare yourself to them? No, you turn it into a positive, push push push yourself and see how you can make yourself better. It's not just in work it's life itself. What ever your feeling today turn it into a positive, think about what you can achieve today and do it! I have a list to work though and it's not even 8 am yet, get in!
Happy Monday Folks!

Last week I had a message from Karen at Little Solutions, Maternity Nurse and Childcare Consultant sharing with me something exciting.
Change is on the cards for her and I wish her every success on her new path, you can read more in her own words below..
Sadly, this does mean that our 'Coffee and Chat' mornings have come to an end but I really like hosting them so hopefully we can put something else in it's place. My thinking cap is on.
... I know Karen has helped many of you who have attended our mornings with her knowledge of early motherhood, weaning, sleep deprivation to name but a few and I'm sure, like me you wish her all the best in her new role!
Good Luck Karen!

As you all know by now I'm not into using props in my photos. I like to keep my babies natural, I think they are just perfect as they are so why add props to make them cuter? With all that said, this little chap had a special journey to get to where he is now. Made in Copenhagen this little viking was everything his mummies had hoped for and more. <3

On Tuesday I had the experience of hypnotherapy by Lynsay Forster Hypnotherapy. I wasn't sure what to expect, as I have never done anything like this before. I walked away from Lynsay's feeling content. Feeling that I have ended an internal battle with myself. Addressing issues that I thought were long dealt with, ones that I have had for years and it feels good.
I would reccommend trying it, even if you are a sceptic.
Here she is, Lynsay. <3

I can't believe it's been a good few days since I posted last, really where do the days go?
I seem to be doing a lot of juggling and feeling guilty about not being in the studio everyday. I suppose I need to give myself a break and enjoy the work/life balance at the moment as come May I will be there all the time when my wedding season kicks off.
Next week I'm off to Glasgow for a 2 day EPIC workshop all about weddings with fellow creatives and meeting up with old friends an...d getting my brain back in gear for the season ahead. I will be without children and dogs so I'll have the time to post on my Insta stories. just if you want to follow my sheinanigens! ;)
AAAAAaaaaAAAny whoooo, I have finnished this wee babe's gallery. She is just perfect. Beth and Jason. <3.

Where do I start!! From the moment I emailed Becky to ask if she would be our photographer for the day, I felt like I had a friend coming to take our wedding pictures. I had seen Becky (EnaMay) in action at another wedding and the results were fantastic, so did not hesitate to ask her to do ours. From the moment she arrived on the day everything was sooo easy, I never felt pressured to stand in a spot or to pose this way or that, in fact I would say that is the best thing about EnaMay, you don't even realise she is there half the time and when you do it is because your laughing with her. When we received our photos we were over the moon, Becky had provided us with a slideshow of her faves and they are just stunning, there are photos in there that I don't remember being taken and beautiful photos of the little things, shoes, my dress, flowers, the venue that are just amazing. The photos of myself and hubby and our guests are out of this world, we are not particularly posey people but she has managed to capture everything so wonderfully. When I saw the other 900 odd photos she had taken I cried, and still cry happy tears. EnaMay/Becky gave me my day back to remember forever. She has captured every moment so well. I could not recommend her highly enough. Thank you again Becky. Lovage!! Jenna and Ewen

When we decided to look for a birth photographer it was really important we found someone we connected with. As soon as we met Becky we knew she was perfect.

Becky shot the birth of our first daughter and we were completely blown away by her work. Not only did she capture the special moment, but she told the story from the first contraction to holding her in our arms... all 26hours of it. We can't thank you enough for photographing this special event.

We won a family portrait session with Becky, and what a great time we had!!!!!! We were all just so relaxed and with the session being outdoors we could just have fun and not be confined in a stuffy studio. Becky was great with the kids as well, they loved the attention. When we saw the outcome of the loads of pics she took, we were over the moon at the amazing quality and hard work Becky put in to make it look special to us. We would highly recommend her!!!!!!! xxxx

We were lucky enough to have Becky as our photographer for our wedding in July. Becky was fantastic from the moment we contacted her, offering help and advice throughout the wedding planning, and taking the time to get to know us. On the day she was fantastic, making sure Robert and I were in the right place at the right time, while also managing to snap us when we weren't even aware. The result was a beautiful set of natural shots, capturing all of the memorable moments of the day. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Becky to other couples for their big day. Thank you Becky! Xx

We had the privilege of having the lovely Becky (Enamay photography) do the photos for our recent wedding.

What can I say about this girl.....she is extremely affable, friendly, chilled and talented.

I am not a lover of the camera but Becky managed to relax us both and captured our day as it was.....natural, fun and full of love. The photos are exceptional.

Becky worked tirelessly for the whole day and got our beautiful photos to us within a couple of weeks, she manages to have that perfect combination of professionalism and natural Scottish chat!

Thanks Becky, you were so lovely to work with and we will treasure your pix always.

Visiting Enamay Photography for a newborn shoot, was one of my first days out since having our wee boy. It was such a lovely experience. We had a relaxing cuppa and cake while Arran fed. Becky handled Arran so well, setting up for some amazing shots. Really pleased with the photos. Great keepsake of those precious first weeks. Thanks Becky!x

User

Very impressive experience from start to finish. Becky has thought of all the small touches to make the new born photo shoot a special occasion. We are very pleased with the end result, amazing pictures.

WEDDING REVIEW

f I could rate 100 stars I would... Absolutely outstanding!!!!

We recently had Becky at Ena May as our wedding photographer, the service provided was absolutely outstanding from the moment she arrived at the house in the morning to the moment she left the venue in the evening. Professional, efficient, polite- overall amazing! All our guests commented about how great Becky was!

We have just received our wedding photos and I can't even put into words how amazing they are, everything we wanted and more! As well as your normal wedding poses Becky (Ena May) has captured 'moments' of laughter, love and enjoyment and completely captured our day perfectly!! Every single image is perfect and amazing and we can't thank Ena May enough!

I will definitely be using Ena May Photography again for any professional photos we need!

I went to EnaMay Photography with my new baby. We were made to feel so welcome and relaxed. The photo shoot was really calm and unhurried which meant Alexa was unperturbed by the whole experience. We love the photographs too, the only difficulty was picking which ones to buy! Overall a great experience, thank you Becky.

User

I can't recommend Becky enough! She made us feel so at ease when we went for our newborn/ family photoshoot. We thoroughly enjoyed it and we are completely in love with the photos. Thank you so much Becky!! xxx

User

Choosing Becky at Ena May was the best decision ever! We got to know her before our big day and on the day itself she made us both feel really relaxed. We're both delighted with our pictures, she caught moments from the day that we hadn't seen at the time which was really lovely to see. Can't recommend her highly enough!!

User

Can't thank Becky enough for the fantastic family photo shoot she did for us. We were a little nervous, having not had professional photos taken before, but Becky made us all feel completely relaxed and this really shows in the finished result. Becky was very patient and professional through out especially when it came to choosing our photos. She's an amazing photographer and would thoroughly recommend her.

User

Becky shot my final childrenswear collection for my university honours project yesterday in her gorgeous studio in Innerleithen and I couldn't be happier with the images! She was a dream to work with and fantastic with the kids! Becky got models for me and helped in so many ways right from the first enquiry email. I had soo much fun during the photo shoot and felt so at ease the full time! As I was in a hurry for the images Becky got them to me the very next day which was amazing! The price was amazing for what I got and I honestly couldn't recommend her highly enough! Will definitely be using EnaMay Photography in the future :) x

User

Becky sent us our wedding pictures today and we can't stop looking at them! Her pictures of our day tell the story from start to finish beautifully.

She was great at snapping all our special moments throughout the day and was actually a calming influence on me in the chaos of the wedding morning! Becky has a real talent for capturing the emotions, expressions and special moments of the bridal party and guests that we missed at the time- which is a special thing to be able to see now.

Cannot recommend Becky enough.

This girl is AMAZING.

User

Becky photographed our wedding at Traquair House in July. I absolutely LOVE our photographs. she captured the day just how i wanted it, she is professional and very very talented.

User

Becky is an excellent, talented wedding photographer, couldn't recommend her enough. Her pictures are natural and she really manages to capture the emotion of the day. She is also super laid back and friendly and an absolute professional. Putting together a collection of pictures to music for us for no extra charge when her prices are already very reasonable was an unexpected wonderful surprise. Thank you so much, Becky!

User

Becky is amazing!!! She photographed my 4 month old baby boy in April at her beautiful studio in Innerleithen. We absolutely love the photos and cant wait to go back for more as he gets older. We have so many printed and framed around our house and both grandparents houses! She is a super lovely person to be around and such a talented photographer. Don't hesitate to contact her!

User

Becky @ EnaMay is a marvel! Professional and affable we were instantly made to feel at home in her studio for a welcome to the world session. My new baby Freddie looks absolutely edible in his photographs. The very talented Becky has captured him so well.

I'd recommend EnaMay photography to anyone wanting to preserve a precious newborn moment forever.
