KILNINIAN - NEW TOILET FACILITY 🕯🚽 Planning Permission has been granted for the erection of a small building at Kilninian to comprise toilet facilities. The building will be located next to the existing car park. This will enable daily services to take place in the Church and for it to be kept open and in use all year around. The use of untreated timber cladding, which will weather with time, will make the building blend with the natural surroundings.

KILNINIAN CHURCH - ALTERATIONS 🕯
We’ve recently received Listed Building Consent for internal and external alterations to The Kilninian Church, category B Listed Building, on the Isle of Mull. This includes work to insulate, replace windows and doors, and install a wood burning stove in the Vestry room.
... These alterations seek to ensure the long-term welfare of the building and its fabric and preserve the character of the building, while providing The Kilninian Trust with a heated room to welcome visitors and organise activities all year around.

ESB Architect's branding colour was inspired by Sevilla's albero-sand yellow. Albero is a unique type if sedimentary rock that comes from a small town near Sevilla. Traditionally, it has been used as ground surface for gardens and bullrings, and as an aggregate to manufacture of coloured lime mortars. ... It is a very absorbent material and reflects sunlight, which makes it an excellent technology against heat and water runoff.
Every trip back to Sevilla, where Elena lived for 7 years, is great source of inspiration. All the civilzations that have inhabited the city have been recorded in the architecture of Sevilla, with a very important monumental wealth. Tartessians, Romans (birth place of emperors Trajan and Adriano), Muslims (Umayyads, Almoravids and Almohads); attacked in the year 800 by the Vikings and recovered in the 13th century by Christians, Sevilla achieved great splendor in the 16th and 17th century for being recipient of goods and gold after the discovery of America.

We were really pleased to receive planning permission, before Christmas, for this cafe and shop, which is now at building warrant stage. It will sit on the shore of Lochbuie to replace the Old Post Office in order to cater for the rising numbers of visitors looking to enjoy this fantastic scenery and the nearby walking routes.
